Pixey
Thanks so much for sharing your Gallery . I like them all (you have an interesting style - a bit like a chap on here some time ago called @Dug). I really love the image with the ducks . Woodsy
Hey Rickhum, glad to see you've started a gallery! It's not the size of the gallery that matters, it's the quality. Your's is coming right along! Quote My PDN Gallery
Red ochre
I really enjoyed looking through your gallery Rickhum! Great imagination, very accomplished images... and a fellow guitarist too! General practical advice would be to always save the layered .pdn file regularly. I learnt (and am still learning) by experiment and by keeping an eye on the forum. barbieq25
Lovely work on the shading. The kangaroos need a good feed We have another Aussie - yay! Those sneaky geckos - so cute. The work is very detailed & the shading add such a dimension to a very atmospheric work. Celtic yet Australian. Well done! 1 Quote Knowledge is no burden to carry. Rickhum
Thanks folks, not happy with the shading but 1 step closer. I'm gonna try using the bevel plugins for my nxt shading exercise. Thought you must be an Aussie with a name like that Barbieq :-) I'm trying to catch up on everybody's galleries but there are only so many hrs in the day. Off to Brisbane airport to pick up daughter no 1 from her latest Thailand jaunt. Luv the feedback folks, so encouraging :-) 1 Quote “Go as far as you can see; when you get there, you'll be able to see further.” ― Thomas Carlyle
Ego Eram Reputo
When I saw that last one I was struck by a memory of Bill Hammond's "fall of Icarus" (https://everyoneknowsbest.wordpress.com/2008/05/13/on-point-bill-hammond/). It has the same haunting surreal quality. Rickhum
Thanks Ego.Bill Hammond is a skillful lad & does some wonderful work. All those Egyptian god looking heads. I'm not influenced by anyone in particular. I got disillusioned by established art forms and don't see the point ( for me). I have no training but come from a long line of artists and have always dabbled. CGI allows me to express my ideas on society and my worldview. Tuvm Pdn.
