paint.net 4.2.15 beta build 7690

This release is going pretty smoothly! I just had to fix a few small things that were pointed out in the thread for the alpha release, and get the translations up-to-date.

To get this update, make sure you have "Also check for pre-release (beta) versions" enabled in Settings, and then click on the Check Now button. (Unfortunately alpha/beta releases are not currently available for the Microsoft Store version of the app).

@Rick Brewsterthank you for all the work you put into PDN. I know its a small improvement compared to other more complex coding you have done but I am really liking that shapes stay put in the same order.

You were once wild here. Don't let them tame you.

but the backgrounds are upside down.

Nice catch, toe!  I failed to notice that they are also upside down in the alpha release.  Upgrading to the beta...

Resetting to 96 still shows clipping behavior.

Rick was asking for the Windows DPI setting of your display / monitor.

Plugin Pack | PSFilterPdn | Content Aware Fill | G'MICPaint Shop Pro Filetype | RAW Filetype | WebP Filetype

The small increase in performance you get coding in C++ over C# is hardly enough to offset the headache of coding in the C++ language. ~BoltBait

I don't know how to determine DPI.

The display DPI should be 96 when the scale is set to 100%.

Some clipping.

It looks to me that you are not using the standard Windows font at the normal size.

Is your Windows install in English?

Have you customized the standard Windows font?  Or, changed the size to make it bigger?

Yes. The font size was set to 135%.

At 100% everything fits.

I don't recall the font setting at 135% being a problem with paint.net 4.2.14.

Will reinstall 4.2.14 and check.

=========================

With paint.net 4.2.14 reinstalled the clipping is there.

Surprised I hadn't noticed it.

I can live with the clipping better than the tiny letters and numbers.
