Thanks so much david, and great to see you posting again.

It is actually 100% PDN, all cogs made basiclly using these 2 tutorial, then playing with Droste and some other plugins and effects.

I trying for long time to make a text version of the first method, but lack of time is the problem. :)

Well, I look forward to reading it.  :-)

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

Trying out pdn4 alpha on my windows partition :) I'm glad to see it supports older plugins! I was a bit afraid of that but it was a pleasant surprise.

MikeRobe (clever!) I really like this one! There is a lot of movement in this one & it reminds me of doing marbling. Really well done.

Very nice Skully! It has great depth (keeps me looking). Reminds me of "the Scream" in many ways. It has the same haunting ghostly flavor.

These 2 are from the same image but I cannot decide which one I like better. Any thoughts?

Hi Barbieq25,

I prefer the 2nd one - 'Graffiti'.
The first is too blurred for my taste. Graffitti reminds me of a cross between those oxide colours you get from over-heated/corroded steel mixed with a Tiffany lamp look. A pleasing combination. Some butterfly wing there too!

I used to work in an engineering shop & I was always fascinated by the way metals changed colour when heated or lathed. Swarf held endless fascination for me. :D

I like your description of Graffiti...

I think you are quite right about Heart of Matter. That is why it is always good to get some feedback :D Thanks so much Red.

^^ I started studying Mech Eng many, many years ago - (failed the maths). I subsequently found drawing board skills and a basic knowledge of casting and materials very useful in my commercial sculpting career. I believe the arts and the sciences are too often seperated when they work best together. So, artists - do take an interest in science and scientists, draw more pictures! ;)

I'm messing around with some new plugins but got side tracked playing with them. I thought if I post this, it will stop distracting me ... off to put my logical head back on!
