skullbonz
Ok,I worked on it and came up with two results that I liked. Not sure if I went to much one way or the other. While experimenting with different ideas it is hard for me to keep the original look and not go off on a whole new looking image, lol. So many choices and so little time. I'll post a thumb to the original first and then the two modified versions,,,#'s 192-b,192-c and 192-d ; 1 Quote http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/21233-skullbonz-art-gallery
barbieq25
I like them all now! Oh woe! Maybe the #c version is the best but the light rays look at bit off - they kinda have a black outline. I sometimes have that issue too but I think it is Ajustments > Brightness/Contrast that I use to eradicate those pesky black bits. I took another look at those pyramids. Must say you did a great job with them! Rather than have them floating. How would they look if they were lower down like on the bottom of the picture plane & between the foreground & background. Very Scorpion King. Really good stuff from you. Quote Knowledge is no burden to carry. April Jones, 2012 Gallery My DA Gallery
HELEN
I like the very first one just because it looks like the colors are moving and it has such a cosmic look to it, which I admire. They're all really beautiful, though. DarkShock
The first one if my favorite, too. Same reasons as HELEN. Good work. Quote ---- Gallery | Sig Tutorial | deviantART | Sig Videos | PhotoBucket ----D E S T I N Y

chimay12321
They're all good, but I like the 2nd one best, it has the flow of the first one and the focal point lays on the planets, where it should be
skullbonz
Thank you everyone, space is my first love and I strive to get better at making these pics. I try to make everything in pdn in them but I do use other editing programs on some parts sometimes. I try not to post those in here much because I believe that this forum should remain being for just creations made solely by pdn. I do use images that I have in stock that came from my camera for some parts but by the time I am done with it in pdn you would have a hard time knowing what it was originally, lol. This picture I did cheat and use terragen for the terrain but the rest is totally pdn and I wanted to show Barbie a different pyramid pic that is more down to Earth so to speak, lol. barbieq25
You teleported an entire pyramid??!! Cool! I like the moodiness of the image & the background makes it even more surreal. Good one! skullbonz
Thank you Barbie. I just added a few new art pics,I'm kind of leaning towards the dragons as my favorite. http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/21233-skullbonz-art-gallery-update-nov-30th-art-new/?p=349670 Quote http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/21233-skullbonz-art-gallery
barbieq25
The dragon is very nice but I adore the wallpaper! Love the explosion of colour. Just stunning! HELEN
The very first wallpaper looks like a Tesla coil (how I wish he were credited more for his work). The dragon image...wow...it's incredible! Looks so realistic! Ahh...such a colorful image in your second wallpaper-the one with the droplets. So nice! By the way, how do you create such delicate details? Do you use a gradient on a transparent background and then distort/render it? skullbonz
Thank you Barbie and Helen. I was playing with the cobweb plugin on the triangle one, lol. The dragons I started with a drawing and was going to make them the handle for a knife but I haven't mastered the knife image yet, lol. So it ended up a necklace. The colors wallpaper is an ongoing experiment using the gradients galore movable plugin on many layers using different colors each with a transparent background. I also adjust the transparency to about half on the gradient colors. The bottom layer or visible background color is important for the look and I have found that either white or black are the best. I mix and match the gradient shapes, distort layers using some of the distort plugins and then try some blending modes. I experiment a lot and not always do I get what I set out to make, lol. 1 Quote http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/21233-skullbonz-art-gallery

barbieq25
First one made me smile. The rest made my jaw drop! Esp. 209 - that is just awesome! Stars are a bit overbright in the others. Not sure how to fix it coz that is also a problem of mine. Must look at Dryda's tute. All are very good & I adore the way you use colour. Quote Knowledge is no burden to carry. skullbonz
Thank you Barbie. I kind of like the stars being bright as they are in the night sky so that is why most of these pics are the way they are. I also feel this way about the colors. Most people model their space pics after the images we see from telescopes many light years from it which are blurred from the distance and the inferior lenses for that distance and think this is how they should look. I do not believe that to be the way they really look. First of all there is no haze in space so everything would look very clear at a close range. Just look at the images from the space station of our own planet for example. Sure those blurry, hazy space pics look nice or cool, but not really too realistic, more like a movie prop. None of us really knows what it looks like out there for sure because we haven't gotten close enough yet. But we have gotten pretty close to many planets within our solar system and I have not yet seen any of the haze, fog or blurring that people model their pics after in any of the images of those planets that were taken with a decent camera. 1 Quote http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/21233-skullbonz-art-gallery
barbieq25
Skullbonz, your response made me think. One of the things I thought about was how I perceive an image. Monet's paintings became increasingly blurred & pastelly rather than bright, reason being that is how he saw things with aging eyes that no longer worked too well. I have not seen clearly since I can remember for anything past 30cm (12 inches) from my face. Glasses distort images esp. the graduated or bi-focal lenses. Also when we take photos, sometimes things look better or worse. I'd hate to think that there are no colours in space. It is comforting to know that the stars would be just that bright if not seen through a pollution etc that shrouds our planet & fogs up our eyes. Thanks Skullbonz 1 Quote Knowledge is no burden to carry. April Jones, 2012 Gallery My DA Gallery
HELEN
No way you created all of these! Wow! I like how the spaceship one has the skull face right in the front and a skull all the way at the end. Really neat. Unless, I'm seeing a skull face in the front of the ship and it's not supposed to be there. The sky textures in the latest images are supernatural! With so many colors all in one. Unbelievable. You always amaze me with your inventive spacescapes. Nice job!
