Skull, it looks like I stepped right into a western movie. So realistically set up. The chalkboard is a nice touch. I usually wipe off the bottom of the letters whenever I see a chalkboard (we all have a child-like tendency in us). By the way, whose photo is that in the wanted poster? I love the stairs and the way they're not perfectly straight is a great idea to show that it has some years to it. The double doors are one of my favorite touches. Reminds me of John Wayne. We had some in our basement a while ago and I'd wear a cowboy hat and walk through them like he would. :P

All in all, a superb image!

Is that you in the wanted poster??

Lovely image. I too really like the steps but the roof is really well done too. Those swinging doors & the bison's head really add to the atmosphere of this image. Well done, dude!

@Welsh: It's understandable coming from you. :) I'm not really a critiquer unless I see something and it really, really pops out at me. My youngest sister is my worst critic, so if I need someone's bareboned opinion about my illustrations for my books, I'll ask her.

No need to apologize, Welsh...we all know you well enough to understand you don't criticize unless you like the picture :P

Nicely done, skull! I can tell you pay a whole lot of attention to object placement, and it pays off!

As welsh said, there's a few details that stick out because they don't match the style of the image.

What really kills it for me is the shiny black metal. It's too bold, I think. Maybe some more rust and less shine.

Wow, Skullbonz, you are really so good at perspective, the image has a great depth all because of the well managing the objects

I like the steps and the roof finish, if you add a pendant light from the eave it will help you to manage the highlights and shadows.

I love it as it is, but the 3 signs really need some work to match the scene.

Thank you all very much,I am having fun making these kind of pictures. I do admit that I can't make the same types of images continuously or I run out of ideas. I switch back to space or wild colors to spark some ideas. Making scenes is still new to me and welshblue's criticism is welcome,he is pointing out things that I have overlooked or let go by and he's right, lol. I redid it some, added some more, changed a few things and added it above the other so you can see the difference. As for the roof I will have to go with I didn't have enough height for the right direction of the metal to look good orrr, they were bad carpenters, lol, lol.   ;)

Oh ya,that's me in the wanted poster and John Wayne in on the wall.  :D

Thank you very much everyone. My first try at a Thor's Hammer, someday i will be able to make a fancy metal handle like Welshy probably would have, lol.   ;)   I also added a couple more space and a different one. I used terragen for the terrain/plants and PDN for the rest. I think the spiders just killed something by looking at the birds, lol.

I absolutely love the hammer!

The texture is absolutely fantastic with both the wooden handle and metal part of the hammer. The lightning bit is such a great idea!

The Terragen piece is magnificent. If a person sees those birds circling over their heads in the desert, I think the best thing to do is run or find refuge. :)

Wow! The new space images are so interesting. I love those spaceships.

Great job on the barbershop image. Would have been cool to see the closed sign hanging off of the door handle, but that's just a nitpick. Keep it up!
