SLTest.jpgSLTest3.jpg

I made this one by running the effect over a 'Clouds' texture... thought it was a cool abstract texture :)

SLTestX2.jpg

Unfocus+

First up, the night-time 'beauty' shot. The Original is on the left followed by the built-in Unfocus and then Unfocus+.

Unfocus+ produces a result which is more realistic (as seen in the background of almost every night-time film scene)

LensBlur2a_Original.jpgLensBlur2a_Pdn.jpgLensBlur2a_TB.jpg

Second up, a high-contrast shot. Notice how the dark areas 'thin-out' and have a more pronounced edge.

LensBlur1a_Original.jpgLensBlur1a_Pdn.jpgLensBlur1a_TB.jpg

True Blur - tileable option

tile is blurred and then tiled... note the boundaries

The Original is on the left followed by the built-in Gaussian Blur and then True Blur with tiling on

Edit 2009-04-03: removed PolarInversionPlus from list - see Ed Harvey Effects Archive for more details

Everytime I try to use the Color Tint/Color Filter, I get an error message.

These are the Error Details:

File: C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Effects\EdHarvey.Effects.dll

Name: EdHarvey.Edfects.Effects.ColorFilter2Effect

Version: 3.20.2911.7705

Author: Ed Harvey

Copyright: Copyright © 2006-2008, Ed Harvey

Website: viewforum.php?f=18

Full error message: System.MethodAccessException: PaintDotNet.ColorRectangleControl..ctor()

at EdHarvey.Edfects.HueSatConfigDialogBase.InitializeComponent()

at EdHarvey.Edfects.Effects.ColorFilter2EffectConfigDialog..ctor()

at EdHarvey.Edfects.Effects.ColorFilter2Effect.CreateConfigDialog()

at PaintDotNet.Menus.EffectMenuBase.RunEffect(Type effectType)

It asks me if I want to restart, and reccomends that, but everytime I do, the same thing just keeps happening. I alo reinstalled Paint.NET and it still had the error report. Any idea how to fix this?

Download and install the latest version of the effects package - the one you are using is nearly a year old, and doesn't work with the latest versions of Paint.Net (Rick changed some of the Paint.Net internals a while back)...
