Sarkut
dafmat71: Your Effects menu shows a sub-category of "Ed-gregious". This indicates that you may have some out-of-date plugin files in your Paint.NET/Effects folder. I suggest that you remove any Ed Harvey .dlls and replace them with a fresh set downloaded from the first post of this thread.

pyrochild
Some, but not all, of the effects contained in Ed Harvey's plugin have been incorporated into Paint.NET, so they're blocked. It's safe to keep the plugin installed. ambigram signature by Kemaru [i write plugins and stuff] If you like a post, upvote it!

Birukoff
For those who can't download the plugin. It seems that certain DNS providers are not able to correctly resolve DNS for http://www.komplex.com.au/. Try setting Google Public DNS (8.8.8.8) as your alternative DNS provider; this helped me. See guide here: http://code.google.com/intl/en/speed/public-dns/

Ed Harvey
OK Kids, ENOUGH NAME CALLING! :x If you read the 'error' message it says, "This plugin is now built-in to Paint.NET". It's more of an informational message than a true error. You haven't lost any functionality. All the effects work as advertised, but we have incorporated some of them into Paint.Net since the release of the effects package. If Paint.Net did not block the original version then you would get two identical menu entries for each of these effects - not pretty, or very usable... pyrochild
People don't read error messages, but they'll definitely panic when they see them. Maybe it would be better to just silently ignore now-built-in plugins. ambigram signature by Kemaru [i write plugins and stuff] If you like a post, upvote it! Simon Brown
As a matter of interest, where in PDN is the incorporated effects? PaintDotNet.Effects.dll and is there any need to instal the new dll's at all? Yes, if you want his effects that haven't been incorporated into Paint.NET. Well, I CAN download it, but when I download it, I press extract, and then it says I can't open it because there's nothing in the folder. I NEED DA PLUGINS. Same problem here: Peazip shows only ONE 128Kb file without any extension and Windows (7 64 bit) explorer says the .zip file is invalid. I tried the alternate DNSs (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4), but same deal. Would this be a problem caused by ipv6, because I have that, but it says these DNSs are ivalid, while ipv4 accepts them. Could anyone perhaps upload the zip file to, let's say, mediafire?
