Photo manipulation, as if you couldn't tell. First attempt at faking a tilt-shift. I started with the tutorial, but it didn't work, so I made a few modifications.

@pdnnoob the text doesn't really seemed to be "carved" into the wall.

its kinda just laying on top of it.

good idea though. Try and see if you can get the words and the rock face to blend better.

It looks pretty real to me. One thing that would make it better would be if the letter edged followed the contour of the rock face. That's the only thing that's throwing it off in my eyes.

I had a much better version for my desktop, but for security reasons (I used my name), I didn't post it. I think what messed this one up is the thickness of the text. It made the distortion map look weird and I had to hand draw all of the stuff inside the holes. I'll see if I can get a better version done soon...
