Are any PDN v 4.2.1 users having issues with the Genesis VFX plugin?

I'm running Beta 4.2.2 and am having no trouble with it.  All effects are working and rendering.  I can't comment about 4.2.1.

It's working for me @Pixey, but I'm still using 4.2.15. Haven't updated to the .16 beta yet.

EDIT:  Just updated to the beta and Genesis is still working for me.

@Pixey I installed the Genesis VFX plugin and tried running it but it also gave me an error. I then looked at my PSFilterPdn.dll and it was dated 2016. I downloaded the new version and now Genesis works great. Not sure if this can be of help to you.

Many thanks @lynxster4 and @Ladybug for your input 👍 I checked my PSFilterPdn.dll and it's up-to-date.  I'm still unable to get it to work.  Grrrrrr 😜

Okay, so I removed Genesis and reloaded it again.  But, I'm having trouble understanding this:

 Edit 'PluginsPath.reg' and change the path within to point to where you put the .8bf file, then run that edited .reg file.

Any help on how to do this would be appreciated - thank you 🌞

@Pixey, that is what I understood it to be. I looked at the file to edit it but I did not have to edit it since I have my 8bf files in the directory that was already there (C:/Program Files/Paint.NET/Effects). I still ran it anyway just in case.

@Pixey, place the Plugin folder in a convenient location. Open the PluginsPath.reg file in any text editor and specify the full path to the Plugin folder in the line "Path"=. In my case, it looks like this (highlighted in red. Note the double backslash):

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\FutureFantastic\GenesisVfx\2.00]
"Path"="D:\\Users\\Documents\\paint.net App Files\\Effects\\Plugin"

Save the PluginsPath.reg file and run it.

Does anyone know if this Plugin is still working?  I've tried it and am getting an error.  I'm using PDN Beta 4.2.16 😬

I'm sorry but I don't recall what it said.  Obviously this Plugin is working fine in Beta, as @lynxster4 has it working, as does @Ladybug.

Thank you so much @ReMake.

Thank you all for helping.  I'll take this up in a couple of days and try to get it working again.  I have a tooth abscess at the moment 🦷 and am not feeling my best, so am a bit off my game - but I WILL get it working if it kills me 🤪 Thanks again all - you are the best 👍
