  1. Twainable+ is out - get it here http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/28153-twainable-2014-05-12/
  2. Technically possible. However I think the amount of work required would put most people off. Why don't you just recreate the image in steps like these? Step 1 - grab the images from the video. See the AVI import plugin or do a series of screenshots. Step 2 - Assemble the images horizontally. Step 3 - Duplicate the image strip twice. Step 4 - recolor and/or retone the copies.
  3. I was thinking that the Panelling plugin would also do what you want.
  4. There is no plugin that will do that automatically. If you break the steps down to individual parts, you should be able to do each step manually. Probably the hardest part will be assembling the ripped images. The desaturation and tonal changes are relatively easy.
  5. Another technique: Open the first image then import the second with Layers > Import from file.
  6. No worries barbieq25 It makes it easier to track these issues if they are tied together in some way.
  7. Thanks for keeping up the development of CodeLab. It's a very impressive tool!
  8. Is this the same issue as detailed here?
  9. Hello & welcome! You'll need areas of transparency (think: holes) in the top image so the lower image has places to show through. Try this: 1. Create a new blank canvas. 2. With the Fill tool, fill the canvas with green. 3. Activate the Rectangle selection tool and make a selection in the middle of the green area. Press Delete. This should remove the selected area of green and replace it with a gray & white checkerboard pattern - this is Paint.NET's way of showing transparency! 4. Add a new layer :AddNewLayer: 5. Again with the Fill tool - fill this area with Blue color. 6. Move the layer down  in the layers window. See how the top layer with the hole allows the lower layer to show through? That's approximately how you need to arrange your layers to have one image above another with bits of the lower layer showing through.
  10. I don't have a copy of this DLL as it wasn't released publicly.
  11. I've just downloaded and retested the DLL on my system (v 4.0.5242 & Win7). There is no hint of a crash anywhere and its the same DLL version you're using. Can you confirm which version of PDN 4.0 this is broken in? Try downloading & reinstalling it again just in case you have a corrupt file.
  12. Same multiple key-press system works for the Selection Tools.... S = Rectangle Select S(x2) = Lasso Tool S(x3) = Ellipse Select S(x4) = Magic Wand
  13. Welcome to the forum spc7jax To be honest I usually plug my images into Word when creating documents with a mixture of text and images. Paint.NET's own proprietary printing system is fairly limited. This plugin Printer+ extends the printing functionality somewhat. Give the plugin a whirl and let us know if it solves your printing issue.
  14. Can't do that. Sorry. All you can do is jump between two zoom levels. I find the thumbnail image in the Image List is often a good reference.
  15. @Ash was a particularly fine artist on this forum. I cut my teeth on his techniques and tutorials. Sadly he hasn't been around for a while.
  16. To add a new layer: click this icon at the foot of the Layers Window :AddNewLayer: Highlight any layer in the Layers Window by clicking on it. It turns blue. Yay! Editing operations are confined to the active layer. Rename the active (i.e. highlighted) layer by pressing F4 to bring up the Layer Properties dialog. Type in a new name. <Moved to Paint.NET Discussion & Questions>
  17. The plugin author hasn't been around for a while. I may have the source code around somewhere. If so I'll have a look at it this weekend. "Oh I feeeel it, coming back again. Like a roll of thunder chasing the wind. Forces pulling from the center of the earth again....." Geddit? Lightning Crashes? Oh well
  18. Wow. Just WOW. This looks awesome. You've done yourself proud Red - this is a beautiful addition to Slinky.
  19. Grab a copy of my WhichSymbol+ plugin (link in my signature). With it you can insert font-based symbols and icons. I know one of the wingding/webding fonts has an extensive selection of arrows.
  20. I knew I'd asked that question. Surprised me how long ago that post was
