TechnoRobbo's FireWorks

is a plugin that began in this Topic:

http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/27667-how-to-create-fireworks/?p=402292

It was suggested by Skullbonz and I took on the challenge.

I hope you find it useful.

Version 1.2.0 Adds Gravity adjustment & More Color Adjustments

Version 1.1.1 - small change - corrects dialog title

Version 1.1 is3.5 Compatible and adds more embers

It's in the Render Menus. Hit CTRL+F a few times and see how you can layer it.

Brilliant TR!

I had the same problem as Drew - 'TRsFireWorks.dll' in Effects folder but not showing up in the menu. I built it in codelab from your unaltered source files - .dll produced is called 'Fireworks.dll' - works great - fantastic effect - thank you.

With layering and some Cobweb and gradients added:-

Woah! This one's really cool! Thank you!

EDIT: It's not showing up in my menu, either. Please let me know what to do.

Nice picture examples from TR and RedOchre.

I (like Drew and Helen) can't run this plug in. It's not showing up in my menu either.

Okay - sorry I guess CodeLab is not backwards compatible - recompiled in Visual Studio,

Version 1.1 PDN 3.5 Compatible!!!!!!!!

Red - You knocked it out of the park!!!! That's how to do it!!!!

Post Edit: v 1.1.1 uploaded to correct dialog Title only - not a major change

DD - I like the falling Embers - nice touch. Is that Color Dodge on the Layer Blend and Scatter?

Thank you for taking this on and this is real cool render plugin but what I was thinking was a distort plugin that could distort a layer outward at multiple points that could be adjusted like this one.  Like if I make a sphere or a donut out of clouds and explode it outward in a star shape ,number of points adjustable. Add a little Scatter and we have a planet exploder.     ;)

I love this plugin though. Red and Drew, those look great.  :)

Thanks Techno. :)

All I did was duplicate each layer, run scatter on a selection halfway down the lower of each layer. No blends were used.

Nice sample images by Techno and RedOchre too, cool stuff. B)

Gonna have to wrap my head around that one.

Fair play TR - you knock them out quicker than a teenage mum on benefits wanting a bigger house. (Not wanting to offend anyone with that ... tongue in cheek)

The results show what a great plugin this will be (on it's own or in partnership with)

One thing ... any chance it could have a secondary colour choice, like the curly lines plugin ?  I've got no idea if that is 'easy' or hard.

(Is the seeding meant to change when you move the colour sliders ?)

Do you mean randomly alternate or gradients start of trail to finish?

Is the seeding meant to change when you move the colour sliders ?

Honestly,I didn't put much thought into it but I assume the artist doesn't want the pattern to change as colors change - I can take care of that. Good suggestion!!!

Gradients so that you can get even more realistic trails by having a lighter ... ummm say blue by the burst, then trailing to a slightly darker blue (or different colour).  If that makes sense ?

The sliders changing the seeding isn't a problem, just curiosity on my part ;)

I really like the new features in v1.2. - excellent update - thank you.

'Gravity' slider - brilliant!

The ability to set 'ember color' differently to the 'center' and 'outer' colors makes it easy to select them with the magic wand and copy to a new layer. Further effects can then be added to the 'ember' objects. Very useful!

Great fun making these - sorry, couldn't resist another :)

New features are great, good fun to play around with.

I came up with this. I ran cobweb (RedOchre) and then your star filter, blend modes and layer duplication.

Nice images from all.
