  1. rothgar, For doing it manually, use Panelling repetitively on the red guide layer. Start each gradient in the red ring and end on the black dot. PDN File Download
  2. Installation thread: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2023
  3. barkbark00, So far as I can tell, the Alpha-Displacement plugin effect is at default setting an Alpha Mask effect using the working layer as its own mask. It should give you the functionality that you want.
  4. S Amin, You could try converting it to a PNG file first. http://www.zamzar.com/
  5. PayPaul, Just for future reference, for Paint.NET related searching: http://searchpaint.net http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?app=core&module=search
  6. Silver Surfer, Scroll left / right - Shift + Mouse Wheel up / down http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/en/K ... mands.html
  7. rothgar, Make the gradient once, copy it as often as needed. Shift each layer 10 pixels using the Panelling Effect plugin. Would that work?
  8. KXTA, Try doing a System Restore if you have a viable restore point prior to the first installation attempt.
  9. Jackiewicz, You'll need to save them as PNG files. .jpg won't preserve the transparency.
  10. whatever-me, Paint.NET doesn't have any Effect > Object effects by default. You need to install an Object type plugin for an Object sub-category to show in the Effects menu.
  11. Could a plugin use RGBA values on one other layer if it is pre-loaded to the Windows clipboard?
  12. 0(-.-)0, I agree that the font has problems. The text looks crowded and the tops/bottoms of some letters are too thin. It has an old-fashioned look, I wasn't sure whether that was deliberate, as a nod to Nova Scotia's long history. If you switch to a less problematic font, try a moderate drop-shadow under the text and flag. See how it looks.
  13. You can make one as a layer with the gridmaker plugin. Turn it on and off with the layer checkbox in the Layers window.
  14. Aislin, If you mean the large grid over the canvas, Madjik's Gridmaker plugin applied to a transparent layer will give something similar. Set your secondary color slider to zero Transparency - Alpha before applying the grid effect plugin. Then activate the rulers tool, in the toolbar next to the "pixel grid" icon. If you mean something else, then more explanation will be helpful.
  15. lekkimsm2500, With the Move Selected Pixels tool or Move Selection tool, you don't need to click inside the selection. Click anywhere on the canvas and drag.
  16. IrfanView and MSPaint same thing. That seems to be the way XP does things.
  17. On my XP system the PdN Open and Save dialogues always show as List, unless I use the My Pictures folder which came as part of the OS shell. I have the folder view for this set to Thumbnails and it shows that way using Paint.NET.
  18. dragonG1, The word "renders" has more than one meaning. Paint.NET render effects are okay to use. A ready-made image plucked from planetrenders.net is what is disallowed by the rules.
  19. Polygones.dll is part of the Madjik' all plugins pack. MadJik' all plugins
