Thanks! I found the plugin here: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1238 It's a time saver for sure. The only thing one must remember is that certain layer properties eg: reflect, are not available when the file is saved as a PSD but otherwise it works perfectly. The search for it was a bit tricky. I had to eliminate "Photoshop" and "file' as keywords and just use "plugin".

I'd like to import or open files created in paint.net in other programs such as photoshop. Is there a way of retaining the layers of those files when I open them in those other programs?
