  1. Wow, that latest one (The Fox and the Face) is pretty cool! Nice job.
  2. I agree with KonArtist, the starfield is a little too cluttered. Other than that, great job!
  3. As am I. Again, keep messing around, try utilizing layer blending modes more and such. I won't repeat everything that I said in the PM.
  4. Love it, looks very sleek and modern.
  5. Umm, you've already got a gallery thread. Each user is allowed to have only one thread for use as their personal gallery.
  6. Not to be rude tHs, but it's been bothering me for a while: Depth is spelled with a t. Yes, I know I'm annoying.
  7. That was pure, comedic genius BoltBait. I literally laughed out loud when I saw it. You've got my vote.

Wow! Way to put it to good use! So far all I've done is write "SMUDGE" in black and white, alternating letters. It'd be funnier if I posted a pic, but I don't wanna hi-jack your thread.
  9. Holy. Carp. 'Nuff said. *downloads*
  10. My entry is officially in. Didn't think I'd partake in this competition, but I decided to anyways. It was the first good turnout of my forays into the world of spacescapes. I'm very proud of it, considering it's almost my first spacescape ever. I especially like how well the starfield turned out.
  11. I know you've all been waiting for it. The entry that will be so spectacular, you will be blown away by it. So we wait for ZiZoiz to finish her piece. But while we wait, here is my humble entry. One stock used, that is, the base for the planet texture, which I then edited to fit my needs. Enjoy!
  12. Nice job on the tutorial, but I do it a different method. Just a little different way of doing it: Draw a white line with a 2-3 px Line/Curve tool using bezier curves over your render on a new layer. Erase the parts that should go behind the render. This makes it look more natural, that the lines would actually connect around behind. Taper out the ends to a point using either the eraser tool if it is curvy enough, or a transparency gradient if it is rather flat. Gaussian blur by 1 px. Use Outline Object at a 2-5 px radius and a softness of 253-255. Run glow at default settings. Either way, they both turn out similar.
  13. You have to use frosted glass at a high level, kind of like dithering.
  14. Thanks Olav. I really like your latest painting as well. The rough "scribbly" style that you use for shading is unique and very cool.
  15. Maybe you could post an image that you would like to manipulate, so that we could provide more in-depth help?
  16. Thanks Jake, it took a lot of work to make it look translucent. It's not actually translucent though, if you put it on any color background, it'll stay the same color. >.< Also, I think what Crimson is trying to say is that in perspective, things get smaller as they get farther away. In your case, the back of the tower looks somewhat bigger than the front, although the front is closer. By the way, I like the texture you put on the front, it looks awesome.
