  1. I think you don't understand the purpose of this forum. It is for users to learn how to use Paint. Not for users to ask for work to be done for them.
  2. I do believe that after removing those nasty location icons, and as a final step, It was graphic novel to get that smoothing effect. Too bad a history of how I created the final picture is not available. I wouldn't rule out Photo Illustration either. G'Mic introduced several usefull filters that transform a simple drawing into a real work of art.
  3. Once again - thank you ladies for your comments. Here's something new created to test the new release of the recent beta versions. Google Maps is my camera. Paint.Net is the tool to bring the colors out. So nice I added it to my screen saver.
  4. oops - 7010 Maybe you know this I reverted to the 7000 installation and when I chose the in program option to update to 7012 but it stepped me to 7010 7012 installed now and the blue scheme works correctly. Case closed
  5. Hi @Rob.van.Grieken Welcome to the Forum. Temp fix - switch to Dark mode and the icons will display properly. Note - This Version is a Beta build and will have some errors. Hope this helps
  6. Hi @Unseentask Welcome to the forum. Here's an example of what could be done depending on your definition of "Normal". Several plugins were used to create this picture. Starting with the B&W pic I created this. A chance for your artistic skills to develop as well as learning the capabilities of Paint.Net. Hope you like.
  7. After reverting back to the previous version, I got prompted to install the new Beta version. I hit the X button and went into settings to turn that feature off. I noticed it retained my de selection of translucent windows from the Beta version and when I went to turn it back on, another crash occured. @Rick Brewster is going to be busy
  8. And Another one; I'll revert back to previous version and continue same workflow to see what happens.
  9. Followed @welshblue's actions. After bevel selection was successful, made a selection to center text. After hitting Ctrl-F the 4th time Paint.Net crashed. Maybe something similar in both crash logs.
  10. Hey there @Hypure Just to be clear ( this subject has come up before)
  11. After installing G'Mic for the first time (and every time) there is an update icon I press before trying anything. Ctrl-R / F5. You will see it below the list of filters and where it says "Internet". Not if you plan to use any of the built in Styles found in the drop down list labelled "Styles" Both Alpha Paint.Net and G'Mic 1.5.3.0 loaded on Win 10 Evaluation Copy. Its like keeping up with the Jones ( Or Brewsters) 😁 Someone has to try and make things crash. Hope this helps.
  12. Hi @KetchupKid What you are looking for is a subcomponent of this plugin Again - It may be a little too complicated for your needs, but demonstrates the endless line tools with control points that you might find interesting. Straight, Cubic belzer and Cubic splines and 4 others with control points at every right click. Hope this helps
  13. Hi @Jellyboots Instead of clicking back - have you tried selecting the previous action in the history window? This not does not change the brush settings. Hope this helps.
  14. @Ego Eram Reputo I was looking for a thread to pass Kudo's on the new theme My only concern is some text almost blends over the grey background. Not the text in the actual message boxes. The labels like "12,115 posts" or "ebook" or :links to broken photobucket pictures. Perhaps a darker color might help. Just my opinion. @Rick Brewster gets final say of course. Logging off to receive the newest Windows Update. Apparently some new features are coming
  15. Hi @Simon T Welcome to the Forum Reducing the pic to 7 colors can easily be done with Suggested Steps to take; Duplicate layer Reduce colors with Color Reducer on top layer Turn off anti-aliasing Select each color with color wand then move the selection into a new layer and fill with selected color, resulting in 7 new layers. Get the idea? When you fill each selection on a new layer with a specific color you will see the anti-aliasing has been removed. When viewing the layers together, you should see crisp lines separating areas. Minor adjustments may be necessary. Lets see what our other members suggest They are being written as I type. After 15 minutes
  16. Hi @WelshVanik Antialiasing The removal of jagged edges by subtle in-filling of intermediate pixels to even out the 'steps' between pixels. You have the ability to turn this function "Off" in the Menu bar. https://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/Toolbar.html Hope this answers your question
  17. Hi @nuk A hidden gem can be found here @xod released a version of Rounded Rectangle that may accomplish what you need. Let us know what you think.
  18. Hi @l02turner Ensure you have your new version of WIN10 totally up to date. New installations can take some time to receive all necessary updates for Paint.Net's newest release. Hope this helps
