  1. Hello @highstream Welcome to the forum Using the Magic Wand tool - set the tolerance to 15 and select the white area around your pic. Invert the selection and copy. Add new layer and paste image. Do not deselect. Holding the shift button, move the bottom right nub of the selection to the bottom right corner of the canvas and you will enlarge the image while maintaining aspect ratio. Hope this helps.
  2. @welshblue When Everyone Learns Something Helpfull Before Loosing Usefull Energy I think I just figured you out mate
  3. Hi @LuNaTiC @BoltBait just beat me. His way will work. Another way of doing this; Use the rectangle select tool to size the area you want to keep. Hit Ctrl-C to copy the image. Select file new (It will be the same size you selected) then Ctrl-V to paste. I think this will better address your needs. Just another way of doing the same thing demonstrating the flexibility of Paint.Net.
  4. 1296931056_Align.zip is what your change created. Windows The Forum software may not like the "+" in file names.
  5. The original post was named Align.Zip which opened to reveal align.dll Your latest post may have the label Align# in the code, but the DLL file is still named align.zip which opens to Align.DLL and overwrites the old one when placed in the effects folder. Hope this clarifies for @Seerose
  6. It does indeed. Another option for capturing photographs.
  7. We are sorry, the page you requested cannot be found.
  8. Alternate suggestion. When opening the Manage Palette Menu - Have the default selection be the currently loaded palette (highlighted of course to make it easy to see what is loaded). I think it might be easier to implement. Since we are on the subject - Mouse wheel functionality for the list of palettes would be appreciated as well. I recall asking for that in the menu structure due to the long lists of plug ins. One of the updates (4.1) implemented that functionality.
  9. @ishani Successfully installed but ...... At 1360 X 768 the plugin does not fit the screen. No save or exit buttons displayed. The only way out is Task Manager. I can move the screen beyond the edges but the buttons still do not appear. running Win10 1903.
  10. Hi @frankensteiner316 Welcome to the forum. Looks like a layer of the built in filter "Clouds" was used. Select red and black as colors and adjust to desired effect. Place above or below background image (in this case faces were used) and play with blend modes to create your picture Hope this helps
  11. I just tried the new Snip and Sketch in WIN10 and it works properly. I go with the Windows design flaw.
  12. @Oden84 Agreed. Using black in the snipping tool translates to transparent black in Paint.Net. Easily demonstrated when pasted onto a white layer. @Rick Brewster will have to comment on this now.
  13. Hi @Oden84 Welcome to the forum. I use the snipping tool quite often and I think you are referring to the red border line the tool displays to show what you have selected. Under Snipping Tool options ensure "Show selection overlay when Snipping is Active" is check marked. Not a Paint.Net issue
  14. Hi @Y_Kazz welcome to the forum. Different users have different methods of course. Here I used 2 plugins TR's Color Reducer to create a specific palette of colors and MJW's Recolor using palette just made It was quick and dirty to demonstrate another method of achieving a goal. Hope this helps
  15. Hi @TSi Welcome to the forum. I"m sure you are referring to the transparent pixels included in your selection. keep in mind you are selecting them. Knowing they are selected, there are 2 ways to remove them. First is by not selecting them. Use magic wand to select the transparent pixels then use Ctrl-I to invert selection to grab only colored pixels. The second way is using magic wand to deselect the transparent pixels you have initially selected by right-clicking on a transparent pixel. I would think @Rick Brewster has no intention of mimicking these other software packages. He has created a unique application that takes some practice with to be able to do what those other packages can do. Some with built in features but many others with the assistance of the plugin contributors. Just my 2 cents worth
  16. @DrewDale 516 is the correct amount. Are you looking under Testing -> Reptorian -> Picture Mosaic?
  17. It will with this plugin Animation Viewer Effect plugin: 17.8.2015: LookAtIt.Effect v0.6.zip
  18. Hello @IngridFJ Download from this page This should work. If not - let us know.
  19. @Mark Half your problems can be solved looking at the Settings/Tools dialogue screen. Defaults can be changed as desired.
  20. Hi @Pam23 Welcome to the forum. Character Map is a utility included with Microsoft Windows operating systems and is used to view the characters in any installed font. Within Paint there is a plugin that allows you the same procedure to view characters of your installed fonts and allows you to render them to the canvas. Here's the plugin Hope this answers your question
