Welshblue:

Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words. I really didn't spend much time on the roses, to tell you the truth. Well, it took me overall, about four hours. :P

Oma, I really appreciate your kind words. :D

I had a photo reference, of course. I forgot where, though. I googled "red rose" or something like that. The heart, however, was Oma's original creation, but she let me use it. I tweaked the color a bit. :)

I had only seven layers when I made the roses.

I drew it freehand on paper, scanned it in and kept that as one layer. The second layer, I painted around and inside the rose that I scanned in with red. On the third layer, I drew in the shadows with a thick paintbrush more on the inside and on the fourth layer, I drew in shadows that are outside of the rose. I worked back and forth with the layers. So, I went back to the third and fourth layers choosing the shadows and then hiding the layers so only the the selected areas are chosen, which I filled with a darker gradient set as the Primary color and secondary color was transparent. On the sixth and seventh layers, I added the highlights and then flatted the image and smudged the rose a bit. Phew!

:)

You can PM me with questions. Glad you visited!!!!

 Awesome roses Helen! Fantastic Astonishing job!! :D

One thing.. add a background. It looks incomplete sort of.

Another thing.. The rose on the right.. the bit at the bottom is "messed" up. Move its layer to left a bit so its covered up by the darkest middle rose. (yeah, i know how you composed the 3 roses - sort of ;):P )

Awesome job once again. KIU!

Merry Christmas

Great Fantastic job on the Teddy Bear. Really good, and the bow is a nice touch.

The 2 lines splitting the arms and the body look a bit out of place, instead of them, there should be a dark-ish shadow. Maybe add a highlight on the nose? I also suggest darkening some of the other shadows in places too. They're a bit hard to make out now..

Great job though! KIU. ;)

Merry Christmas

Thanks, Oma and Minoeman. :P

@Welshblue: It is a "she." Now why do you say it's a wise bear?

@Janettsue: Is something wrong? :( I wish everything will be all right and just in case of further troubles, just print out my teddy bear and hang her up in your room. :)

@Storm.Shadow: You asked me twice, so I used my glossy hearts and made her a balloon. Her mouth is curved at the corners, too, which means she's smiling. I think she's a little happier now.
