  1. I believe that it is one of the original help docs. The latest version can be found here: http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/RecolorTool.html Here's a mini-tutorial on the recolor tool I posted recently:
  2. I am convinced that the secret to a great looking sun is not the sphere itself, but the effect that it has on the rest of the image. This image has a completely white solar surface, the look I wanted comes from the corona:
  3. Plugin Index (PDF) had over 6500 downloads last month. I thought my talent had finally been discovered!
  4. Glad I could help. I trust you've got this plugin working now?
  5. February Update. Three new plugins and two new authors: Normal Tools v1.1 - @gOUJOSAMMA Suite of plugins for the creation of Normal Map images. Whitepoint Correction - @Lord Crc Color correction, based off of a neutral point in the image. XCF filetype - @Martin Osieka Filetype. Load and save images in GIMP native file format XCF (and its packed variants XCFGZ and XCFBZ2). The latter is also an addition to the list of filetypes. As usual: New entries in the Index appear between horizontal lines and are prefaced with the notation *New* In the pdf, new entries appear on a green background.
  6. We asked Goonfella to post scans. He did offer to repost as thumbnails - so he was aware of the size problem. I think we've got this one covered Thats cool. I thought I was losing it....
  7. Ctrl + Shift + G was a response to your "how to make an image Black and White" question. Did you try this?
  8. Thanks for posting those scans! Really? I'm not at my personal computer at the moment (only have access to a barebones PDN installation) but I'm sure I find Drop Shadow under Stylize Am I lagging behind in my plugin pack versions?
  9. No text cursor? Try tapping the Ctrl key. more >> http://www.getpaint....t/TextTool.html
  10. Use the Menu Hotkeys. They are underlined when you hold down the Alt key e.g. Aquire: Hold down Alt then press F and Q.
  11. Find the (functioning) link in the first post of this thread. The URL you posted is an illegal site that rips off the hard work of plugin authors. As you can see the URL is removed whenever posted. For your own security, NEVER download a plugin from any other site except this forum (or from links posted on this forum). If you have downloaded from another site (especially a huge pack of plugins) I suggest you delete them all and download them again from here.
  12. Rick is planning some very exciting changes to the shapes in v4.0
  13. None taken Jim. My link was to expand on the discussion by not only providing the plugin links but to add the background as to what order to try them (hint: most recent first). Perhaps I wasn't clear on this.
  14. I have extra strength antacids on hand < that's not me laughing, that's me trying to swallow one!
  15. You're welcome JadedLemon!
  16. The tutorial itself has a link to Myrddin's excellent filetype mini tutorial - the checkerboard is explained several times there. The checkerboard pattern is also explained in the third and fourth supplementary posts following the main tutorial. Beginner tutorials are to assist you learning new techniques - not necessarily teach you how the program itself works. For that you should read the online documentation. Press F1 in Paint.NET to access the online documentation or access it via the Help menu (Help | Help Topics). There is a wealth of information in there that you really need to see.
  17. Ok, assuming you have black set as your primary color, and white as the secondary color (the default setting when you start Paint.NET): Step 1: Select the Gradient tool Step 2: Choose the Linear (Reflected) gradient option. Step 3: Click near the center of the canvas and drag the mouse towards the top left corner. Second screen is the same Gradient tool and option, but this time right click near the center of the canvas and drag towards the top right corner.
  18. Just so you know, Pantone color lists and numbering is covered by intellectual property rights (according to Wiki): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pms_color That said, their Goe system (aka GoeGuide) apparently has RGB values for each of the colors (with associated problems: http://www.graphicbrain.com/studies-by-vigc/pantonegoe/). Finding a list is unlikely due to the licencing restrictions mentioned above. Bear in mind that the RGB values are always going to be an approximation of the CYMK colorspace. There is no one-to-one corellation.
  19. No it's not a plugin (as far as I know). You could try these values out in the Convolution Filter plugin: [/url]http://www.gutgames....ilter-in-C.aspx (Google is my friend - and yours too! )
  20. Try this thread: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/1983-flip-plugin-horizontal-or-vertical-flip-of-selection/
  21. This: Or radio buttons (that will be a long UI). The alternative is to use Visual Studio and create your form and your own custom angle control. Significantly more work!
  22. You shouldn't need to eliminate the checkerboard - it's Paint.NET's way of telling you that that region is transparent. Checkerboard = transparent. If it disturbs you visually, add a new layer & move it to the bottom of the stack of layers. Use the Paint Bucket tool to fill that layer with white. In order for the feathering tool to work, the region of pixels you want to feather must run up against a checkerboard=transparent region. That's the way it works.
  23. It was pseudo code and even then it was wrong!
  24. Let them choose any angle using the full angle chooser. Then programmatically clip the angle to the 45 degree increments: (chosen angle) mod 45
