  1. I interpreting this as @LineArtPotato requesting the ability to customize the color of layers natively (using PDN and not a plugin).
  2. Thanks ReMake! Added the updated link to the first post.
  3. Doh! Sorry BB I spent far too long fighting the PDF vs JSON formatting I was so proud of....

  5. Hi @Bthnt & welcome to the forum Brilliant! PDN is not really set up to do what you ask. I know I've considered using it this way too. Plugins can only change the active layer - so they are not going to do it. The best I can suggest is to put the Adventurers on the same layer & move them as a group. Alternatively, use a plugin (like Paneling) to move one object then you can repeat the same move by changing layer and pressing Ctrl + F to repeat the move operation.
  6. I asked Rick about this quite a while ago. At the time Rick explained that adding layer masks would break existing PDN files (not something he was willing to entertain).
  7. No. You'll have to add layers manually. The plugin framework does not allow new layers to be created.
  8. This is often called the Pleasantville Effect. Find a tutorial HERE. There is also a PLUGIN - although it works best on images where the subject can be selected by color. Here's another simple method: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/113614-desaturation/?do=findComment&comment=552566
  9. Try this plugin. I was VERY impressed with the results (see second post).
  10. Confirmed. Local hosting of the PDF has always been fraught. It might just be easier to link to a Dropbox file or Google Doc.
  11. ^ This. To the layer name I add the font-size, color and any applied styling. Makes it a breeze to reproduce the text if an edit is needed.
  12. Try swapping out your keyboard to confirm it is Ok. Do you have any keyboard macros or third party keyboard apps installed?
  13. How about using the Quality slider? The less detail, the smaller the file. Also try the 4:2:0 (Best Compression) option (Chroma Subsampling).
  14. The Developer does. It's been his position since Paint.NET was first released. What you're asking for has been asked for many times (see here: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)) . It's just not going to happen.
  15. Hi @dmt05 welcome to the forum It looks like the external border has a few different shades. You might want to Zoom in on the image and check across the width of the border pixel-by-pixel with the Color Picker tool to confirm this. I think you'll find five or six different colors there. If this is the case, it will make a difference which pixel you check for the color. It also looks like you also have Anti Aliasing Enabled . When this is on, the edges of the line are going to be 'softened' using intermediate shades. If you want the line to be exactly one color, change the AA setting to Disabled in the tool bar.
  16. Agreed. The input box is tied to an intermediate value which is set somewhere between the top and bottom Output inputs. You can't set it by choosing the color, as it must always be 'between' the other two. Try this: Drag out a colored gradent across the canvas, then deselect two of the color channel checkboxes. Now try moving the mid-point slider up and down.
  17. This is desperately difficult to do because the fog is masking the contents. A reverse-blend isn't going to remove the fog. I covered standard blend modes in my book - that's where the quoted formula was originally published. If you show us the picture (remember: it's a family friendly forum) some clever person might be able to suggest techniques to improve the image.
  18. May Update There are five new plugins this month....and here they are! Arc Text VeLC Renders text along an arc. A remix of DPY's Circle Text with different UI and new math. Source code provided. Archimedean Dots VeLC Draws dots along the path of an Archimedean spiral. CodeLab source code provided under LPGL-3.0 license. Archimedean Spiral VeLC Draws an Archimedean spiral. C# code snippet provided under LPGL-3.0 license. Color Cut 2022 otuncelli Updated version of DataDink's plugin of the same name. Removes the secondary color to create a cut out with blended, non-jagged edges. Color Threshold alters the color, Shade Threshold alters shade and Alpha Falloff controls the 'hardness' of the effect. Source code provided. QuantDith AtariSMN82 Automates pseudo-toning using palettes with a small number of colors (think: the palettes of retro computer games). Contains a number of dithering algorithms taken from the manual DHALF.TXT. This is the full-color dithering version of AdvDith. Source code and a large number of palettes provided.
  19. This is the way it has always worked. Ctrl + Wheel has been used for zooming for ages. No. I recommend you get used to using the Ctrl key modifier. It's quite widespread among apps.
  20. I urge you to republish this in its own right (i.e. thread). We can subsequently lock this thread as "Incompatible". Naturally, if @DataDink ever returns we can revisit the value of unlocking this thread, or merging them.
  21. Try Ctrl + Alt + V (Paste into a New Image). The new image will be sized to that of the clipboard image Current Behavior 1. Launch Paint.NET 2. Ctrl + Alt + V 3. image ready to edit
