  1. Glad that's the right one cubsterky! ... and I hope the stolen pirate version didn't harm your computer. Not much we can do about them officially but I'm making a wax doll and sharpening the voodoo pins!
  2. http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/24861-selection2clear/ (now in my plugin pack, link in sig) I made that to cope with losing the selection after erasing, which can be annoying when erasing on many layers. Bit of a 'necropost'!
  3. That rotten pirate site has copied the really old 'beta' versions of Contour and Psychocolour, which I developed under the 'Advanced' menu. So could be Contour, or 'myContour' as it was posted in Dev central. Then again could be anything? I see they are claiming to support the Red cross/crescent now! ... there must be some way to take that site down?
  4. Argh!.. November already! where does the time go? Many thanks for the ongoing and extremely useful work!
  5. This is a really cool plugin! nice U.I. and useful. Thank you. (Not a real tartan, just a first experiment) Does this replace/supercede Gingham and Tattershall? Perhaps a few .xml presets for tartans, tweeds etc. could be included in the first post ... just a thought. By the way the first post screenshot image links seem to be broken. I should read more carefully! Good images Eli! Btw I used Furblur & Clipdisplace (I would, wouldn't I! ), to soften/distort.
  6. Cool image Lynxster4, many thanks for posting it! Good work on shape packs too. (The image is a little larger than we're meant to post on the forum... but it looks good at that size. You could edit the BB code by replacing "img" with "thumb" in both the [] and [/] tags to get a thumbnail link? ...but I won't tell if the mods don't notice. )
  7. You can call the Gaussian blur and use the difference between that and the Src to get an Inksketch effect if it is above a threshold. If you use the amount of the difference for the amount of added colour, you can get 'pencil sketch' effects too. The way to call the Gaussian Blur (and other built-in effects) is in BoltBait's tutorials. Hope that made sense.
  8. I can't see a num lock key on my laptop keyboard ☺ I do have a 'real' USB keyboard if needed but I've set up a short cut to Character map, which seems to work. I should have recommended this too http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=10684 ῧ
  9. Hi Marilynx, The best way to learn what a plugin's controls do is just to play with them! You won't break anything (I hope) and if you want to set them back to default click the little reset arrow at the end of the slider. I recommend running it on a new layer as this make it easier to manipulate later in your image. The two square boxes (double vector controls) affect the start and end positions, all the rest of the controls have names which describe what they do.
  10. Copyrightsign.zip Alternative solution... a shapemaker shape! I've updated that shape (sorry to the two that downloaded it). It now closes the circle correctly thanks to BoltBait!
  11. Doesn't work for me either! http://www.alt-codes.net/copyright_alt_code.php My laptop doesn't have a separate numbers pad and neither Alt, AltGr, Shift nor Ctrl seem to work? I'll just keep randomly pushing buttons till something happens! © There is a built in windows tool called 'character map'. Type that into search, select©, then copy...use the text tool in Pdn then go to edit/paste and the © appears! Not very elegant.
  12. Hopefully this thread may interest you too: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/31629-animated-images/
  13. Good to see you exploring the different furblur shapes, Seerose. Nice background too! Many thanks for posting the image.
  14. Interesting use of the plugin Seerose. Thanks for posting the image and showing the method.
  15. ^ That's the thread I couldn't find . I hope it is relevant for you.
  16. Hello John, welcome to the forum. Something very similar was posted a while back but unfortunately I cannot find the relevant thread. I vaguely remember it was a windows settings problem? but could be very wrong! ... hopefully you will get more useful help soon.
  17. I admit that I get very confused about p.p.i. on the web, after all the browser can resize so SkullBonz is probably right, the more the better... but what you upload and what is displayed aren't always the same! For print higher d.p.i. is sensible (300+) This tutorial is useful reading,http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/17049-dpi-and-you-understanding-resolution-for-print-and-web/ but, not being a web designer, I have no idea about what is currently 'best practice' for web sites. HD screens vs tablets?
  18. Try 96 p.p.i.? There doesn't seem to be a consensus of the 'best' resolution as far as I can see (from a google search). But there will be web-site experts that can better advise you!
  19. Looks cool! (I hope it's not a sink hole )
  20. Very good results on the latest ones. I particularly like the flower globe and the downy feathers are extremely well done. Very polished work... keep 'em coming!
  21. Exactly my thoughts (but realize all U.I. changes involve risk and must be thoroughly considered).
  22. I think Jedis means that the fixed size selection can be dragged past the edge of the canvas so that after cropping it is not the size (or ratio) selected. I do not know of any way around this, currently?. It can be tricky to line up right on the edge ...and then I often get it wrong by a pixel or two! It's good to keep an eye on the coordinates of 'Selection top left' of the bounding rectangle. (Down in the bottom left hand of the window.)
