  1. Glad you both saw the eclipse Eli and Seerose, and thanks for commenting. Hi Max, I also played around with different ways to make an animation using Midora's ImAgif plugin and an app that came with my laptop (Cyberlink Power Director). It seems the windows live 'movie maker' won't install on windows 10. I haven't explored Serious Sam's sprite-sheet animation plugin yet. I opted to just show the sprite-sheet (using TR's PngSpritesheet) as compressing for animation seems to loose too much detail. Although the originals were quite blurry anyway. (full zoom, low light, hand held and fighting against the camera's auto-focus). In retrospect I should have set up the camera before the eclipse and read the manual first! Anyway, well done for producing the animation and thanks for the comparison information!
  2. I believe that's Furblur too, Eli. Great image Doughty!... I can even see BoltBait's aeroplane in the sky. Lovely new pussycat sig' too.
  3. I took some (blurry) photos of last night's lunar eclipse. I've seen them before but now live somewhere with minimal light pollution, so had a wonderful view. Unfortunately my camera skills don't do it justice... but it was magical! http://i.imgur.com/zAMLu0R.png
  4. Welcome to the forum Limon! I like what you've made. You have a great imagination and good Pdn skills. Looking forward to seeing more.
  5. 8 bits per channel (B,G,R,A) I believe. This search is better than the forum one too. http://www.getpaint.net/search.html http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/271-bits-per-channelpaintnet/
  6. Welcome from me too Lynxster4, I really like these shapes! They all look good but the hummingbird and ladybird are particularly stylish. Excellent work - thanks for sharing!
  7. TR did the difficult stuff (coding)! Maybe worth mentioning that to get more accuracy when rotating (or scaling) click and drag the cursor further away from the control.
  8. Good examples RacerX - second one has a great smashed glass/ice look!
  9. It unscrews and the front panel falls off (only being light-hearted, no disrespect meant)
  10. Interesting effect Argus - thanks for sharing! Clever way of linking the two threshold sliders and limiting the angle chooser. Unfortunately I managed to crash it! (or rather it crashed Pdn). Threading error below. I had successfully used the effect. I then used 'undo' (to duplicate my original 1281 by 907 image). Then used 'Effects/repeat Edge detection (Argus)' which caused the crash. 11. Good work Max! I wondered if you used gears for the coins when I saw your animal heads sig. I like what you've done with the eagle's feathers on the r.h.s. coin. Thanks for posting the image.
  12. Some very useful improvements in this version - cubic splines are great and closing paths is much easier. Thanks Rick for the splines and many thanks TR for all the extra work implementing the many changes!
  13. Sorted ...Good! (I will remove the waterlilly.zip from post 41 now)
  14. Strange? ... ask one of the 'admins'? - perhaps you've gone over your upload limit by directly attaching big animated .gifs. Maybe if you linked to those you would have room to directly attach zip files? Just a possibility, best to P.M. BoltBait or E.E.R. Or use 'Dropbox'?
  15. Racerx - try zipping up the .xaml file then using the 'more reply options button' you should then be able to attach it. The same should be possible for the project file (.dhp) too... but they must be opened in Shapemaker. Nice job on the waterlilly too! Seerose - download and unzip the .xaml file and place in the Paint.Net/Shapes folder and restart. Edit 19/9/2015 - removing waterlilly shape as RacerX has now attached to first post.
  16. The animated butterfly and spiral are really 'top-notch' Seerose! Excellent work.
  17. Thank you Seerose! much appreciated. Max - you did well - not the easiest thing to do, with only minimal 'clues'
  18. Thanks BBQ! Glad you found the settings useful Max, 'vortex flower' looks good!
  19. http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/29299-text-on-a-bezier-curve/ post 4 (me) may (or may not) be relevant.
