  1. Good to see you back cweber54! Still playing jazz?... or has juggling taken over!
  2. Clever shadows within the cage and the cat makes me laugh... good work!
  3. I always enjoy your images Seerose... and good musical taste too!
  4. Hello thapoint09, The forum does'nt support v3.5.* anymore. However, for Vista the latest version available is v 3.5.11. There is a link to a file hippo download in the rules section of the forum. See rule 8. http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/2932-read-first-the-rules-yes-you-read-this-2013-12-21/ I hope that helps. (I run v3.5.11 on my vista machine and have no problems using prtscrn, then new image, then paste).
  5. http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/28270-megalo-virus/ Please remove everything downloaded from that site and fully virus scan your computer.
  6. Congratulations Lynxster4. Good work from all!
  7. I find myself waving my arms around when thinking about x,y,z axis and rotations/translations... it doesn't really help when trying to explain things in words.
  8. http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/28270-megalo-virus/ The first site you are showing is an illegal PIRATE and VIRUS spreading site. Please delete anything you have downloaded from there and virus scan your computer.
  9. NB. around a vertical axis ... so through the picture plane ... like turning the pages of a book with acetate leaves. Exactly the same as "flipping" or "mirroring".
  10. Just look, draw and think - repeat. Honest! try searching shading?... better to look and understand for yourself though! (I'd be a terrible teacher! - i'd have the kids in tears in no time ) - it is well meant, if not what you want to hear.
  11. Agreeing with the others - wonderfully imaginative images and an appealing 'quirky' drawing style... don't lose that. To 'improve' your drawing skills, do keep a sketch book and draw from real life. If you can't persuade someone to pose, draw your left hand or set up a mirror. Drawing real things/people makes you look and think about what you are doing - taking photos doesn't! (they can be useful for reference, but never slavishly copy photos). Do study the work of artists you like and consider what you like about their images. Do keep drawing things from your imagination... If you enjoy what you are doing your skills will improve and you can look back at your old (full) sketch books to see how much.
  12. A plugin that would 'trail' objects towards a vanishing point would be very useful! I normally duplicate the object, make the background object smaller, use zoom blur, then change the opacity. The plugin named Trail 3d doesn't do that and Pyro's trail is great but doesn't converge for perspective. I guess that's slightly off topic, sorry Toe_Head.
  13. Hi Hope, Save as a '.png' file (32 bit) or, if in layers, save as a '.pdn' file too.
  14. Madjik's XYcoords plugin might be relevant. It's in his pack http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=7186 (I haven't tested it in Pdn 4 yet though)
  15. Just copy the address at Youtube and paste into the forum edit window. No need to use the 'link' button. You can check if it has worked by selecting the 'more reply options' button and then 'preview post' (in lower right corner of editing window). eg.
  16. Hi Aggror, They seem correct to me. That is the icon represents what happens ... so flipping horizontally means rotating 180 degrees around a vertical axis.
  17. When Pdn is open press the 'F1' key then navigate to Tools/Photo tools/Clone stamp tool. Hope that helps (in part) and welcome to the forum.
  18. Great image! Fortunately imagination travels faster than light (and space hardware).
  19. Good idea! - useful - thanks for sharing. Edit, May I suggest: 1. A choice for the color of the thinner lines for the standard grid. 2. The ability to draw just the grid lines. Either a background opacity slider or use Pdn's secondary color alpha, or copy the src over to use as background. (Not a problem personally as you have kindly linked to the source code - thanks!)
