  1. chesshorsey, It is possible to change the extension of an animated GIF to .jpg by renaming and it will still work. However it is still a GIF file, even though it is misnamed with the .jpg extension. JPEG won't support transparency.
  2. Best to install this way: Download zip to Desktop or Downloads folder. Left-click to open the zip. Left-click to open dpyplugins5 folder. Copy/paste the .dll files into the Effects folder. Copy the .dll files only, not the folder that they come in.
  3. The best place to ask your question is here: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/forum/4-general-discussion-questions/
  4. Does the same thing happen drawing in MS Paint?
  5. Photoshop Liquify filter offers a varied set of distort tools. Paint.NET has nothing equivalent to it. In addition to what has already been suggested, Bulge and plugin effects like Power Stretch and Point Warp can be useful. These aren't brush-type tools however. ===================================== Update: Liquify plugin now available as part of the pyrochild plugin pack. .
  6. jerkfight, I see what Frontcannon is saying. The wall with the TV has its vanishing point off-canvas to the left. The lines on the floor that should correspond with that wall are parallel. ======================== The lines on the floor that correspond with the other wall converge normally.
  7. Try running chkdsk, with the /f parameter, from the command line. chkdsk with /f parameter Then reboot the PC and install Paint.NET.

  14. This might work. LiberKey and Portable Paint.NET Unless they've changed things very recently, when LiberKey first installs, it installs Paint.NET v3.36, which includes pressure sensitivity function. Edit: Yeah. I checked back and LiberKey is installing v3.5.5 directly now, so no joy there.
  15. Don't know what OS version you have. With Vista, "Set as Desktop Background" is part of the right-click context menu. If the image needs to be tiled or stretched: Right-click on desktop > Personalize > Choose Desktop Background
  16. It's a lovely monster. Could you explain more specifically what aspects of the project required PhotoShop?
  17. Suggesting that this topic gets the same treatment in the Pictorium, as Installation and Index have in the Plugin forum. Pictorium Guidelines
  18. Mine woudn't change either when I tried uploading directly from my PC. Try hosting the image at imageshack.us Then enter the direct link URL in the "Enter a URL to an online avatar image" box of the change avatar page. Be sure that you don't end up with a double set of "http://".
  19. This thread lists the most common solutions to problems encountered:
  20. You need to be sure that your shadow gradient is on its own layer, and that it is the working layer when you move and reshape the shadow. So, in the Layers window, click on the shadow layer immediately before moving the shadow. The selection isn't tied to those ellipses. That selection will apply to whatever layer is the active working layer and won't affect the other layers.
  21. You can use the gray-scale image as a mask with the Alpha Mask Import plugin effect. Put a checkmark in the Invert Mask box in the Alpha Mask UI. Apply the effect to a solid red layer.
