  1. ....and an Internet connection to the Paint.NET forum
  2. The agif file must be opened with Paint.NET. That's the purpose of this plugin. You'll have to rename them to use them elsewhere (just like it says in the first post in this thread).
  3. You can buy a copy direct from me (the author). I'll send you a PM (Private Message) with the details.
  4. Global mode shortcut is to hold down the Shift key when making a selection or fill
  5. Nice idea. <off topic> I like your stonehenge style sig Doughty</off topic>
  6. I've removed the Hide tags from the original post and added a *.pdf version of the tut for download. nice job 'noob!
  7. Supreme Overlord. Now that has a ring to it.... "YOU!" "(cringes) Yes Overlord?" "Go AWAY quickly!" "(bowing & scraping) Yes Supreme Overlord" double s.c.r.a.p.i.n.g! http://psd.tutsplus.com/tutorials/interface-tutorials/photoshop-web-design-sleek/ I enjoyed this tut because the finished demo was not difficult to code from the .pdn layers. Actually started writing it up as a tutorial because there is nothing available here like this.
  8. The subject of the ads has been raised before. They provide an income stream for Rick, so it's entirely his call.
  9. I'm pretty sure Scriptlab will run any of the Adjustments or Effects. Both built in and plugins.
  10. Q: Why do the winners get to choose? It's kind of self-replicating, like Zombies... Is there another mechanism we can inject occasionally to allow a broader spectrum of competition selection?
  11. Install an ad-blocker and the ads will go away. Yes they are ADVERTISEMENTS and not fake downloads. The appealing download buttons are intended to be targeted by people who don't read the fine print first. In your screenshot it is stated in plain text what the button will download - you just didn't read it. As BoltBait famously said "installing it is an IQ test". Moral of the story: Be very careful what you click on. Be doubly careful what you install.
  12. This is not a problem with Paint.NET or with the PNG file format Are saving the PNG file with some strange configuration? Both pictures you posted have transparent backgrounds - so I suspect that your problem is PowerPoint. <Moved to Paint.NET Discussion & Questions>
  13. Amazon was my chosen publication platform. Company strength, ubiquity, level of royalties and ease of use were hard to ignore. However, Amazon only make the Kindle format available. I'm providing other formats by request (though to be honest, the Kindle-for-PC reader is brilliant).
  14. Responsive websites. Not just resizing, but fluid, content aware resizing.

  15. Hi there ddledbet, welcome to the forum. This thread is nearly five years old. In order to get the latest information, please repost your question in the Paint.NET Discussion & Questions thread. Thanks.
  16. As I said above. We're happy to help you, but won't be doing the job for you. That's not what the forum is for (it's expressly forbidden under the Forum Rules) Break your ideas down to single elements and we'll help you get started. Like this: Q "How do I write text in a curve like the top of the graphic where it says 'Official Tour Event'?" A Download and install dpy's excellent Circle Text plugin. It writes text into a circle!
  17. We're happy to help you work out how to make something. Can you post an image or detailed explanation of what you want to achieve?
  18. <Moved to Paint.NET Discussion and Questions> In answer to your question, the image does not contain the characters as subsets of a font. Instead it holds groups of pixels which look like characters. You're not going to be able to highlight text like a word processor will. Instead you will have to use layers and blend modes to create the illusion of highlighted text.
  19. Have you met this tool? = Move Selection It allows you to move, resize and rotate the selection outline
  20. Text is not editable once you have committed it to the layer (finished typing). Only one layer is active at any one time. This is the layer that is highlighted in the Layers Window. Clicking on another layer deselects the current layer and makes the clicked layer active. To crop an image make a selection around the area you wish to keep then press Ctrl + Shift + X (hold down Ctrl + Shift, press X). This is the shortcut for the "Crop to Selection" function.
  21. Regardless of the resampling algorithm used you're still interpolating to create data that wasn't there before. No it isn't possible. You've enlarged the image by a factor of 8.7. Expect it to be blurry and low quality because each pixel in the original has been stretched to cover almost 76 pixels in the enlarged image.
  22. Hello PAINT12, welcome to the forum. The reason that text cannot be edited is that it is converted to pixels once the text is committed to the layer. This means a character or string of words ceases to be font based characters and becomes instead groupings of pixels. For this reason we recommend you place your text on it's own layer, which is empty of everything else (i.e. transparent). If the text is more than a few words I usually cut & paste it from a word processor to the Text tool There is one alternative, this plugin which allows text to be edited: Editable Text
  23. Quite correct. You're trying to paint your whole house with one test pot. There just isn't enough material for the job.
