Kodak Tri-x 400 Emulator
Ego Eram Reputo replied to johandanforth's topic in Plugins - Publishing ONLY!
Woah. Thanks for that NiteNurse. I had reported that the latest 4.0 build had some extra Vandermotten.PaintDotNetEffects.* errors. Now I know why! @johandanforth: Have you sought permission to bundle Kris' dll with yours? -
My thoughts Lock icon to indicate the sliders are locked together. Resize has a + icon and a dotted line to to indicate resizing potential.

Thanks SCARRIOR. I'm glad your game has found a new breath of life.Last note: I removed my original intro out of respect for XOD. We disagreed on the merits of it, but always showed respect to each other. That's one of the things I like about the members of this forum -

They appear in the Plugin Errors dialog. No crash log as they have been blocked from loading. I think. -

Glad to hear it pslane! Paint.NET 4.0 is an impressive upgrade over 3.5.11, yet it should be very familiar to users of the earlier versions. A performance plus is always a good thing

Nicely done! For those users not in the know, this filter will change an image into an enhanced gray scale. Effect is found in the Effect > menu (not in a submenu). Example: -
Yes! As a minimum you should upgrade your version of Paint.NET to 3.5.11. Try Utilities > Check for updates or go here http://www.getpaint.net/ and click the link in the top right corner immediately under the CONTACT link. If your Operating System (OS) is windows 7 or higher then go for the release candidate version of Paint.NET 4.0.

Going back to old version?
Ego Eram Reputo replied to ronanzer0's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
I don't think Rick will be that draconian. When 4.0x is released support for 3.5.11 will stop. This means you won't get help with technical issues. Tutorials, plugins and techniques posted on the forum following the release will be geared to 4.0x. We're not going to kick people off the forum for using 3.5.11, or stop them from posting images made with earlier versions. This is much the same as now. We strongly encourage users to upgrade when we find they are using an older version. We don't ban them -
You're about to learn something very useful To subtract from a selection, first make the initial selection then hold down the ALT key while dragging out an overlapping shape with the left mouse button. When you release the mouse button the second shape will be removed from the first. Using two elliptical selections and the subtractive mode you can create a crescent shaped selection. This is the natural opposite of the additive mode (CTRL key), which adds successive selections together.

Planetoid - make your own planets

Thanks for posting your results Yellowman and Lloyd The posters in this thread are already creating stunning works with Planetoid, especially in combination with other effects. See yellowman's image above for an example. Nice use of a bit of extra lighting! Same can be said of Lloyd's yellow planet - that halo effect is very nice. -
Suggestion: Transparency for the Paintbrush tool
Ego Eram Reputo replied to Jenna's topic in Preview Center
Jenna the size of the Colors Window is a trade off of functionality vs the canvas size. By default the window is closed - allowing more space for the canvas. Unfortunately you cannot get the larger size to persist between Paint.NET sessions. RE: Opacity: You can set up a default palette with customized RGB and Alpha (opacity) settings. See how some palette colors have a checkered effect? That's an indicator that these have partial opacity. The color picker tool should pick up the opacity of the pixel you click on.
