  1. imgurUploader.dll has been removed as it has been rebuilt to be compatible with 3.5x and 4.0x.
  2. Thanks for the update joZ1. I'll take this plugin off the list of incompatibles later today.
  3. Welcome to the forum Kerlina2. I've not seen this issue before and quite frankly it baffles me. Three possible solutions come to mind. 1. Disable Hardware acceleration (Settings > User Interface + deselect the checkbox). Settings can be found by clicking the cog icon in the top right hand corner. 2. Reinstall your mouse driver. 3. Reinstall your video driver. If any of these work - please let us know.
  4. Deleting files randomly is a really bad way to try and remove installed programs. You're finding out why. Your problem is that you've removed (some of the) files and left all sorts of hooks and stubs in your system which are not allowing the new version to be installed. What you need to do from here is finish the removal prior to reinstalling a fresh version. Go back to the first link I provided and thoroughly read post #2. That is your solution. Good luck!
  5. You can't paste images directly into a forum post. You have to link to them - just like your post above.
  6. Press F5, F6, F7 & F8 to make the child windows disappear. The same combination will restore them.
  7. I'm advocating plugin authors release new versions of their plugins in a new thread if they are not backward compatible. This way both versions remain available. Someday we may need to lock the 3.5.11 version - but it would remain here until then. If an updated plugin works with both 3.5.11 and 4.0x then a single thread should do. Authors should make it clear which versions of their plugin work with which version of PDN. I have copies of almost everything released on the forum. Nothing should be lost.
  8. Rick is the sole developer and wanted to get a stable version out. Not every feature made the final cut. This is a trade off between wants and needs and time. Sorry you're disappointed. The price you paid for this software should more than make up for it. Yes?
  9. Next edition of the Plugin Index will flag plugins which are incompatible with 4.0x. There are relatively few of them. Once the new edition is out I'll visit each of those plugin threads and apply a note to say that "this plugin will not work with Paint.NET 4.0". There is a whole host of older plugins which do work with 4.0x. I'll leave these alone as users should be safe to continue installing & using them.
  10. Why not other systems? The answer to that lies here Paint.NET FAQ Try Google for recommendations for your Chromebook.
  11. Hi DarkLucario444 - welcome to the forum. There is a link in post #8 of this thread http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/692-install-update-or-uninstall-trouble-read-this/ which leads you to this thread http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/18931-fatal-installation-error-1603-fix/ Try those steps. Good luck! Please let us know if these steps resolve your installation issues.
  12. Next edition of the Plugin Index will divide plugins into Yes and No for Paint.NET 4.0x. Somehow. I've yet to decide on the most efficient method to use. With the relatively small number of plugins that are incompatible I might just add to their description that they don't work with 4.0x. I'll point the reader to any updates/rewrites of the plugin if they exist.
  13. Thanks Simon. Changing a post or a thread title doesn't raise a flag for me. I rely on a new post or a new thread to see changes as these are flagged as "unread". Either will do. A PM would also work
  14. Smudge shouldn't be incompatible. Try reinstalling that from a fresh download. All the others appear in the list: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/27661-incompatible-plugins-an-incomplete-list-updated-for-405268/
  15. Are we talking about this one? http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/15218-simon-bs-plugin-pack-custom-brushes-editable-text-and-more-2014-06-22/ IMHO a change of date isn't enough to indicate to users that an update has taken place. I would have missed it entirely in my monthly revision of the Plugin Index because I don't scan old thread titles. How about at least a post in the thread to indicate that all your plugins work with 3.5.11 and 4.0x? Slightly aside: I don't want to play hide-and-seek with plugin authors. If any of you are revising or changing the contents of your plugin packs make it clear with a post or let me know via PM so I can update the Plugin Index. A new thread is a great way to show me and others that new stuff exists, and it's date-stamped.
  16. I recommend releasing your 4.0 plugin pack in a new thread. It makes users aware that this may not work on 3.5.11. If you are not supporting the old pack We Mods can lock it - or you can remove the link.
  17. Splatter plugin Use it with a dark red color on a new layer above your original image.
  18. You're worrying for little reason. The forum stores very little personal detail on you. If you really, really want to say goodbye permanently, 1. Change your profile to remove your personal details. 2. Change your login password to something long, complex and inscrutable. Don't keep a record of this. 3. Logout and don't log in again. You're welcome back should you so choose. Bye.
  19. Added ImgUrUploader Exception details: System.MissingMethodException: Method not found: 'Void PaintDotNet.Utility.ErrorBox(System.Windows.Forms.IWin32Window, System.String)'. at Imgur_Uploader.EffectPluginConfigDialog.backgroundWorker1_RunWorkerCompleted(Object sender, RunWorkerCompletedEventArgs e)
  20. You should always save a copy of the file in *.PDN format BEFORE you save it in it's final image format. That way you have a working copy with all the layers intact in case you need to do some editing.
