  1. Many thanks Rick. This update is awesome. I think Overscroll is going to be a big hit!
  2. Hi Reggie - welcome to the forum First, a link http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/CloneStamp.html< this is the paint.net documentation page for the Clone Stamp tool . Wha...? Clone stamp - it allows you to transfer small regions of an image from one place to another. What you do is set the source by Ctrl-clicking then 'paint' the area you want covered (the destination). This tool will allow you to cover up the existing text using other areas of the same image. Have a go and please get back to us if this doesn't do what you desire.
  3. Paint.net includes this legacy format in a very rudimentary way, so there is no configuration dialog with the TIFF format and hence no configuration options. We generally point users to another format (like PNG), however if this is not an option you'll have to open the compressed image in another editor and resave it.
  4. Hello and welcome to the forum dcormier Try running this diagnostic tool http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/107908-1603-error-diagnostic-tool/ (just follow the instructions included in the thread).
  5. Just bear in mind that each plugin slows the startup speed. If you have loads of plugins there can be quite a delay. There are illegal plugin packs bundled and available on other websites. Avoid these like the plague! They contain viruses. The only safe place to download plugins is this forum or from links posted here by the plugin author.
  6. paint.net is not designed to be used for batch processing, and plugins cannot alter the size of the image. There have been a number of efforts to strongarm paint.net into batch processing - I'm not sure is any are still working.
  7. It's easier than that.... Simply copy the %PROGRAMFILES%/paint.net/ folder to your USB drive. Unplug the drive and put it in another PC. Navigate to the USB drive /paint.net/ folder and run the paint.net exe. Note: the PC must have .NET 4.6 installed (paint.net requirement).
  8. Are you saving images as a *.PDN? This proprietary paint.net format and is not supported in other apps. Try saving as a *.PNG or *.JPG I wrote these questions myself. As BoltBait said they are designed to limit spam on the forum by filtering out spam bots. The questions do require a little effort on your part to figure them out - difficult they are not. When spam clogs up the forum I change the questions. It may not stop spammers - but it does slow them down. BTW The staff on this forum are not paid. We are all volunteers and enthusiastic supporters of paint.net and its developer Rick. Lashing out in this fashion in your very first post is not going to gain you much...except possibly notoriety.
  9. How about taking responsibility for your own actions and save it yourself? Ctrl + S it's not hard. Save using different version names or numbers Ctrl + Shift + S. It's an image editor. A very good one. One that you've been given free. Stop whining.
  10. I'm still blaming the forum formatting software There is no way attaching a DLL should mess with the code. I certainly didn't delete those four separate sections accidentally - they were removed with some precision.
  11. Did not. I also tried compiling the source only to find the errors MJW reported. I did get it working with selection.Right -1 that Red used but I missed the continuation && CurrentPixel.A==0&&src[x,y-p].A==255) which simply didn't appear in the code I copied & pasted from the forum. The formatting was awry so it may have been a forum software issue. Thanks to BoltBait and Red Ochre for restoring the code.
  12. I can't help but see a young Kenny Rogers.... Seriously - it looks rather nice. New plugin or actual paint?
  13. Thank you most kindly Seerose and Pixey!
  14. July Update (ok it's a day late ) Three new plugins and a plugin pack to play with this month... Color Clearer - @MJW. Makes the target color to transparent and alters remaining colors to remove the target color so that Normal Blending a layer filled with the target color reproduces the original image. For 3.5.11 compatible version see post #7 in the thread. Null54's Plugin Pack - @null54. Plugin pack. Effects: PSFilterPdn, Radical Image Optimization Tool (RIOT), Soft Proofing, Twainable+. FileTypes: Base 64 FileType, EA Fsh FileType, Image Tiling FileType, JPEG 2000 FileType, Optimized JPEG FileType, Paint Shop Pro FileType, Photoshop Brush FileType, Photoshop Pattern FileType, Raw FileType, WebP FileType. Offset Alternating Stripes - @MJW. Creates alternating stripes of pixels with configurable horizontal offset, width and separation. Angle, Edge Behavior and Quality options are also available. See post #9 for 3.5.11 version. RAWFile LAB - @operamint. A dcraw based RAWFile plugin with an advanced GUI. Requires 64-bit dcraw.exe to be downloaded, renamed and placed in Filetypes folder. Enjoy!
  15. Final suggestion - drag out a selection with one of the selection tools & add the second mouse button to allow it to move with the mouse. Release the second button to continue sizing the selection. See tip on this page http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/ShapeSelectionTools.html
  16. You've found the Move Selection tool shortcut right? (Press M key twice). Plugins cannot change a selection. So your best bet is to get used to dragging the selection with the mouse or arrow keys. An alternative might be to use your selection + backspace on a new layer to create a mask. Duplicate & move as required. Use Magic Wand to select it, then revert to original layer. The selection will persist.
  17. Plugins cannot add to or change a selection. If you write something yourself you're going to have to calculate the offset to the target pixel(s) and write directly to it/them. Would the same color be used in changes to all rows or columns? If so you might be able to put the recolored pixel on a new layer then use the Pannelling plugin to tile the pixel across and down.
  18. Zip them and add them as an attachment to a post (use the Full Editor)
  19. Make a selection around each button in turn and save it with TR's Export Selection . Hint: use Rectangle Select + Fixed Size to keep the selections the same size.
  20. I'd still like to see these two units linked. If I select inches in the status bar as my base unit I'd expect to see the same unit used for Rectangle Select > Fixed Size.
  21. The settings are worth playing with. So are the colors you start with. Here I set the Primary color to #ABB6CA and the Secondary color to #DDDDDD then ran Clouds with these settings It's still not 100% perfect, but you should get the idea.
  22. If you want a simpler solution, try setting you Primary and Secondary colors to gray and white then run Effects > Render > Clouds.
