  1. Overscroll has been a much anticipated/requested feature for a number of years. A great many users (myself included) feel it is a wonderful feature. I'm not unsympathetic to your problem. I myself asked Rick if an image could have a 'neutral' corridor around the edge where scrolling did not occur. The workaround, I guess, is to be more precise? (I'm joking - see ) More helpfully - why not scroll the image to it's full extent away from the target corner. Then when you go off with the Lasso Tool the image won't scroll at all. The maximum extend an image can be scrolled is determined by the view size. Small images can be scrolled until half offscreen. Larger view sizes scroll an image until the edge meets the center of the editing window. See http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/ViewTools.html
  2. Can you post screenshots showing before and after?
  3. The Plugin Browser is just a (very sophisticated) plugin. You install it as you would any other Effect plugin. Simply copy the unzipped *.dll into your paint.net/Effects/ folder and restart paint.net.
  4. To center an image use the keyboard combination Ctrl + B twice.
  5. Keyboard shortcut for pasting into new layer is Ctrl + Shift + V. Its very handy to know
  6. Find out what you're running here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13443/windows-which-operating-system Each method is different. You might have to try each one listed by Select Product Version
  7. No problem FinPaint. AFAIK these shortcuts are not new, but even I didn't know about the second Ctrl + B feature!
  8. Can you show us the exact error? Either post a screenshot or copy & paste the error text.
  9. Overscroll can't be switched off. You can pan the image using the Space bar and the left mouse button. Using this combination its remarkably easy to move around your image.
  10. When zoomed in you can pan the image by holding down the Space bar and dragging with the left mouse button. Alternatively try pressing Ctrl + B twice to center the image.
  11. @Red: I think you might have run into a timing problem i.e. you logged in before the forum was scheduled to email you. I don't know how often the forum sends stuff. To everyone having notification problems: To find (and edit) the content you're following click on your Username in the top right hand corner of the forum window then Content I Follow Please also check your Notification Settings. Find these under Username (as abov e) > My Settings > Notification Options - check you have ticks in the right hand column where appropriate. You might also want to check that your email address is correct Username > My Settings > Email & Password.
  12. At best the automated service is.... inconsistent. No changes have been made to the forum software recently, so I really don't know where to look for a solution. For those having notification issues, can you please let me know how many threads you're following? I just wonder if there is a maximum.
  13. Go here http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/32048-boltbaits-plugin-pack-for-pdn-v406-updated-december-3-2015/and look at Level Horizon. This thread is only a couple of years old. You're getting better.. <closed>
  14. Thread is close to a decade old. Paint.net has changed a lot since then. Please ignore old threads. If you wish to restart a discussion, please just begin a new thread. Thanks. <closed>
  15. I seem to recall that it does take a little time to render. Patience ?
  16. I'm not aware of any changes. I'll ask around. (I'm following this topic)
  17. What we need now is for Ctrl + Alt + B to do both steps in one handy shortcut
  18. Your title uses the term "laggy". That describes latency or delays, which is why Rick asked for your system specs (hint - you can copy the info from Settings > Diagnostics). When you mentioned the brush I wondered if you were describing antialiasing.
  19. Do you mean that the pixels created by the brush are 'rough' looking? Try setting the antialiasing in the Tool Bar to enabled and not disabled
  20. I'm pretty sure that the colors are intended to desaturate in a non-linear manner. I seem to recall that it is based on the apparent brightness/luminance. Something like: Red *0.299 + Green*0.587 + Blue*0.114. Would that explain the difference?
