  1. What do you save it as in the "Save as" menu?
  2. Nay. 2nd longest. The longest, I recall, was ~60 steps.
  3. Well described tutorial. 2nd...longest...tut...evar?
  4. I bet Stephan will win. Or if in the unlikely chance that uH or Helio joins, them. But of course, it is somewhat nonesensical to bet already, when the theme hasn't even been decided yet!
  5. I like DC Conviction's, and OMA's the best. I like the style of OMA's and the realism of DC Conviction's.
  6. I agree. It would be extremely helpful. Something like this would be nice:
  7. I swear that that picture is tied (in my books) for first place in "best picture ever created in Paint.NET history". Wow.
  8. Awesome Output...awesome UI...awesome developer. Awesome.
  9. Hi, welcome to the Paint.NET forums. OK, to answer your questions: 1) Here is the "Paint.NET manual". It is a must read for beginners, with oodles of helpful information. 2) A friendly Paint.NET user, Wither, created an interactive flash guide to help users with Paint.NET. It is highly recommended that you use this guide. Highly. The Highly Recommended Flash Guide to Paint.NET (by Wither) A downloadable version is available here. 3) About your drop shadow question. All you have to do is download this Drop Shadow plugin. If you don't know how to download and use plugins, here are the steps: 1. Download the file. 2. Extract to C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Effects 3. Restart Paint.NET if you had it open. 4. Enjoy! 4) If you still have questions: 1. Go to searchpaint.net and search to see if your question has already been answered before. 2. If not, simply make a thread in General Discussion & Questions, and wait for our friendly community to help you. As I said, welcome to the forums, I hope you enjoy your stay. EDIT: Beaten by Myrddin again.
  10. I use GIMP occasionally (I'm a member of 2 GIMP forums too) but one of the things that irks me about it is the Layer Window pales in comparison to Paint.NET. It's so annoying, it isn't funny. I also wish it was all in just one window, not 3 separate ones.
  11. Stephan's and Expiration's are so beautiful, I want to stare at them forever. I can't decide between them. Photoshop ISN'T a competitor to Paint.NET.
  12. Ditto. This is one of the best UI I have ever seen
  13. Cool! Like Picasa's "soft blur" but better!
  14. Rick had already posted about this ripoff in his blog a few months ago. EDIT: Darn! Beaten again!
  15. When I so long ago wore this avatar, I didn't have a name for it. Gangster_Crab called it an "alien head on fire" and others agreed, but to this day I still don't see the alien Do you see an alien?
  16. Or you could just paste it on a new layer, and delete it when done.
  17. My latest work, made with Gradient Mapping and Point Warp.
  18. Very, very cool. This could be very useful...
