  1. I would rather recommend this instead: http://cmdsketchpad.com/tutorial.php?tutid=3
  2. You have to cut it out and paste it on a new layer, basically. Then use Curves.
  3. There are many ways. The easiest is to use this tutorial to select the skin and use Curves (Adjustments>Curves) to darken it. Tell me if you want screenshots.
  4. Paint Shop Pro is horrible. OK, people, it isn't that bad...
  5. If this isn't extended there is no way I can get my entry in on time.
  6. This is the best I could do. The tough part is the thing in the middle. This can only be fixed via pencil or paintbrush tool.
  7. They aren't 'bad ideas' at all. But there's only so much that the PdN Team can do... Especially since it's the spare time of ... three(?) people at best. (excluding plugin authors) >_> Two. Tom and Rick.
  8. The secret to Polar Inversion is to hide that you ever used Polar Inversion in it.
  9. Rubrica, that ornament is so awesome, it isn't even funny. D'ya see me laughing? Disn't think so...
  10. Wither, I find Outline Object at 255 softness as good as, or even better than, Halo. I'm not familiar with PS's outer glow, but If it is what I think it is, wouldn't Outline Object/Halo on a seperate layer (possibly with some curves adjustments) make an effect that is similar? I really want to see an Inner Glow in Paint.NET though. That would make 99% of Photoshop planet tuts easier in Paint.NETtopic> Halo: http://boltbait.googlepages.com/halo Outline Object: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=5715
  11. Polar Inversion, eh? Would this count : Yes, the background was made with Polar Inversion.

  15. There is a chain tutorial that could easily be adapted for that purpose.
  16. You could probably make the fine detail on the swooshy using glass blocks at a low size...
  17. So I guess we're stuck with the good ol' Alpha Mask Import Plugin....
  18. Yeah, honestly, I have to say that this is sort of a 2nd priority request... Eek! One more post 'til my 1000th! topic>
  19. Some of the card symbols can be made via alt codes...
