  1. Please read this page: http://boltbait.googlepages.com/install
  2. This should go into the Distort menu, not the Object menu. BTW, I love this plugin. It is a GREAT way to make "torn" edges.
  3. Is your PC getting "reset" to a known state? (Some schools have software that wipe all computers every night so that they are immune to virus threats.) Is the Feather.DLL file still in the C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Effects folder? Do you have an entry in the File menu for effects that failed to load? If so, what is the error messages there?
  4. Here is the plugin you need: http://boltbait.googlepages.com/delcolor Just set your primary color to white and run the plugin.
  5. Ed Harvey's plugin Extract Channel will do what you want. You can find his plugin here: Ed Harvey's Effects v3.5
  6. I keep telling people that I'm a genius, but no one listens.
  7. OK, I think I have a solution for you. First you'll need to download a few plugins if you don't have them already. Starting with your initial partially transparent text, try this: Run my Alpha to Grayscale plugin. Save as alphamask.png. Undo. Run pyrochild's outline plugin. Run illnab2048's Alpha Mask Import plugin. Use the "mix alpha" check box. This will give you something close to what you want. Now you'll just need to do this process again (from the beginning) and tinker with your transparency level of the original text.
  8. Do an outline object of size 1, repeat.
  9. Did you try MY object outline plugin? (I'm sure you could find it if you tried. Pyrochild's is better, so I don't like to advertise mine. But, once in a while it is just what you need.)
  10. That doesn't help. We need EXACT names if you expect us to help you. This page shows you how to unblock files: http://boltbait.googlepages.com/install Hope this helps.
  11. What plugin are you trying to install? Did you "unblock" the DLL files? Give us a screenshot of your C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Effects folder.
  12. You can find out this information by looking in the Moderator Control Panel. *looks it up* It was moved by... oh, look... it was me!
  13. I don't see any that have swear words in the title. If you could provide me a link, I'll take care of it.
  14. OK, you should never put the color and the outline on the same layer. I'll assume you have started with a black outline on its own layer. Next, use the magic wand to select the area where you want to add color. Create a new layer and move it below your outline layer. Select that layer and fill your shape with color. Finally, press ESC to deselect and Gaussian Blur (1) (or use the feather plugin or the object outline plugin). This spreads the color out by one pixel.
  15. Sarcastic answer: When you look up the real way to spell "concitter." Real answer: Being a newbie doesn't mean you're not considered a human It's entirely possible to be both. @pyrochild The first line of your answer is a nasty (biting) one. I will NEVER do such a thing to somebody who tries to communicate with me in my own language. Not everybody on the whole wide word manages the English language the way you do. I manage 4 languages, how many do you speak, write and understand reasonably ? That first line of your answer was a stupid one and you really should say sorry here ! V.A, pyrochild clearly stated that his first line was a joke. "Sarcastic answer:" means that a joke follows. Let's examine Journey's next post to see if he was offended... Nope. Doesn't look like it.
  16. Select the guy's face and run my Color Balance plugin (link in sig). Try (5,-9,41) or tinker until it looks right to you.
  17. Put your text on its own layer. Layers > Rotate / Zoom
  18. OK, here's how you can do it yourself. 1. Open your image Here is how to add some shading so that it looks 3D: 2. Layer > Duplicate Layer (Your graphic should have 2 layers now, both with a copy of your graphic.) 3. Select the top layer 4. Effects > Blurs > Gaussian Blur (Radius = 10) 5. Layers > Layer Property (Set blending mode to Darken and adjust Opacity for desired 3D effect) 6. Image > Flaten Here is how to color it gold: 7. Image > Add new layer 8. Select the new, empty, top layer 9. Fill that layer with color FFD92B (You can do this by entering FFD92B into the Hex box of the More>> mode of the Colors Docker window for your primary color. Then using the paint bucket tool fill the layer with color.) 10. Layers > Layer Property (Set blending mode to Multiply) 11. Image > Flaten Done. Here is the result: By the way, this method only works because your background color was black.
  19. Here are some plugins to allow you to modify the alpha channel: Easy: Transparency Adjustment Intermediate: Channel Blur Alpha Mask Import Plugin * Alpha to Gray (The opposite of AMIP) Advanced: Curves+
