  1. Very welcome! There are 114 free fonts by the same author if you want to pay a look at them: Free fonts by Roger White Edit: I've just found a font that may be of help for the filigree designs (Nymphette font). Alternatively, let's remember it's also possible to do swirly strokes with Red ochre's Flourish plugin.
  2. I've created objects or applied effects upon existing objects in an image. One simple tutorial you may try, to begin with something easy to do, is the lightsaber tutorial (if you would like to learn to create such type of effect). I also enjoy creating textures for various purposes (such as the creation of a subsequent landscape). You can find a varied number of texture tutorials on the forum. Some are easy to follow, with few steps, whereas some others are more elaborate. I also recommend the mini-tutorials, some of which are super easy yet appealing anyway. Whenever you get into an elaborate creation, always keep note of what you do and save the project periodically so as to avoid losing what you've done.
  3. As you've been told, you need first to decide what kind of works you want to do with PdN. That decision will lead you to tutorials, and the tutorials will lead you to the plugins you need. You can get started by exploring the beginner tutorials on the forum which will give you a grasp of the elementary capabilities of PdN. More advanced tutorials will give you a taste of the program's advanced possibilities. But any tutorial will very likely lead you to either a plugin you still don't have or a plugin's usage you still don't know.
  4. As for the font, I suggest Roger White's Hanford Script if its aspect may be of any appeal. It looks elegant to me, and it's currently free to use even for commercial purposes.
  5. Welcome back! Really nice-looking spider!! ... As nice as a spider can look!
  6. You can try Tanel's Color Mixer which is part of Tanel's Photo and Color Plugins pack, although I'm not sure if it does what you're looking for.
  7. You can also try Fontspring Matcherator (drag the image to the upload button and follow the instructions) As for your image in the OP, I think its font may be Henriette, or probably Destra
  8. Really nicely texturized!! My coffee tends to be black most times, but I'd like this creamy cup too!
  9. I hope you get better soon, Woodsy. Take good care of yourself!
  10. I've found all topics appealing so far. Sadly for me, I haven't been able to participate so far, and I can't even participate in the signature contests either. Like many artists on the forum, I hardly ever know when to call it quits when it comes to details and satisfactory results
  11. Thanks for the extension, Pixey, and I wish Woodsy a speedy recovery!
  12. Super cute apples, and many congrats on the Galleria promotion!
  13. It's normally one sig per post in this contest as well. If you want to submit more than one sig, then you should make one post for each sig you want to submit.
  14. Thank you very much for your kind comments, dear friend @Seerose!
  15. Thank you for your constant support, dear Seerose!
  16. Yeah, it's horrible it's almost finished Sadly all good things come to an end But thanks for the rep and positive feedback!
  17. Thanks for that, dear lynxster
  18. Thank you for the additional method. I've edited my previous post to add a thumbnail to the original image on which I worked
  19. I've done a new portrait with the new method. I've used the Pop_Art_7 setting for the Gradient Mapping plugin on the layer affected by the Majority effect (this one turned out quite red ). The portrait is based on the following photo (you'll identify her if you are a fan of the Black Sails TV show) And here's my final result:
  20. I have tried both Mixgoom's and MJW's methods and not only on text. I'm aware I probably need to work more on the details, but I think my preliminary tests are approximately acceptable. I believe the combination of Furblur and Dents provides more realism to either chosen method. Follows what I did. With Mixgoom's method, plus some Furblur and Dents: With MJW's method:
  21. Looks really realistic. Well done!
