Ash
My go at the glass orb thingy: 100%PDN, everything from scratch 8) But not 100% happy with it All creations Ash + Paint.NET [ Googlepage | deviantArt | Club PDN | PDN Fan ]
oma
looks like you used a few dents effects and the hightlight were you able to change the color within the 3d or did you do this manually? My Deviant Art Gallery Oma's Paint.Net gallery
spike 121
ash the blur at the back is not realistic, not sure how to fix that though... "No. Dreaming is illegal."~Pyrochild
Ash
@Oma: To line up the patterns you will need to check seashell tut Glass orb, I use shape3d 3 times, there are 3 orbs in that image, the rest I did it manually. And I don't think I used and dents on this one....at least I can't remember doing so :? ash the blur at the back is not realistic, not sure how to fix that though... Easy, I added that blur in the background, and I can easily take it away. But personally I like it 8) Cuz the Camera (in my mind) was focusing on the orb, so the background far away is outta focus. pyrochild
I like it too; it looks like heat distortion, which is very appropriate for the setting. Dents may have given a more realistic result though, but that's assuming that you were actually going for heat distortion... edit: which apparently you weren't, but oh well. ambigram signature by Kemaru [i write plugins and stuff] If you like a post, upvote it! spike 121
Esay, I added that blur in the background, and I can easily take it away. no you need a blur, like its unfocusing, it just doesn't look right to me. maybe unfocus, then radial blur? Bob
uH: WHY JPEG? That's a total example of a PNG job. Sharp lines, few colors... PNG is a better choice than JPEG for storing images that contain text, line art, or other images with sharp transitions. No. Way. I've just seen Bob. And... *poof!*—just like that—he disappears into the mist again. ~Helio
usedHONDA
True, but when you resize it to actually fit your desktop, the lines are sharper than ever. I guess I can upload the png version, too.
