qoqr
Hi everyone, I want to make a public transit map for a game I'm making, but the angles with the "Straight" function in the Line Tool are too harsh and the angles in the "Spline" and "Bezier" options don't give me the effect I'm looking for. For example, this is an angle made with the "Straight" option: This is what I'm going for: If there's a way to do this, could anyone let me know? Any help is appreciated! Red ochre
Hello @qoqr and welcome to the forum. I suggest you try the ShapeMaker plug-in here. It is a little tricky to get started with but there is plenty of documentation and tutorials. Another advantage is that the shapes are stored as 'vectors', so they can be re-used and look better at different sizes. 1 Quote Red ochre Plugin pack.............. lynxster4
Welcome to the forum @qoqr With careful placement I made your 'street' with the Line/Curve Tool set on Spline. Looks just like your example. It can be done! 😊 1 Quote My Art Gallery | My Shape Packs | ShapeMaker Mini Tut | Air Bubble Stained Glass Chrome Text with Reflections | Porcelain Text w/ Variegated Coloring | Realistic Knit PatternOpalescent Stained Glass | Frosted Snowman Cookie | Leather Texture | Plastic Text | Silk Embroidery Visit my Personal Website "Never, ever lose your sense of humor - you'll live longer"
Disk4mat
@lynxster4 your way is the right way and fast. For me to explain the placement of the control numbs in text is impossible. I should have waited to get on the other pc to illustrate visually what you did in your example. I realize now that my being eager to help is not always helpful lol
lynxster4
Thanks, @Disk4mat In looking at my example again, I realize the control nubs didn't show up. That's what I wanted to show. 🙄 1 Quote My Art Gallery | My Shape Packs | ShapeMaker Mini Tut | Air Bubble Stained Glass Chrome Text with Reflections | Porcelain Text w/ Variegated Coloring | Realistic Knit PatternOpalescent Stained Glass | Frosted Snowman Cookie | Leather Texture | Plastic Text | Silk Embroidery Visit my Personal Website "Never, ever lose your sense of humor - you'll live longer"
Ego Eram Reputo
They are hard to see (I've emphasised these). I found the trick is to use the two middle nubs to control the bend aka define the curve. 2 Quote ebook: Mastering Paint.NET | resources: Plugin Index | Stereogram Tut | proud supporter of Codelab plugins: EER's Plugin Pack | Planetoid | StickMan | WhichSymbol+ | Dr Scott's Markup Renderer | CSV Filetype | dwarf horde plugins: Plugin Browser | ShapeMaker
lynxster4
That is exactly correct @Ego Eram Reputo! Your example is what I wanted to show. 😊 Quote My Art Gallery | My Shape Packs | ShapeMaker Mini Tut | Air Bubble Stained Glass Chrome Text with Reflections | Porcelain Text w/ Variegated Coloring | Realistic Knit PatternOpalescent Stained Glass | Frosted Snowman Cookie | Leather Texture | Plastic Text | Silk Embroidery Visit my Personal Website "Never, ever lose your sense of humor - you'll live longer"
