Lry
For years I have used CTRL+SHIFT+R to open the resize canvas dialog box. It no longer works. NOTHING. I, now, have to go to the IMAGE area of the menu bar and drop it down to access the canvas dialog. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks. BoltBait
Ctrl+Shift+R still opens the Canvas Resize box for me. Ctrl+R still opens the Resize box for me. Where is your mouse cursor when you press these keys? Quote Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and a Free Computer Dominos Game
Lry
It makes no difference.... anyplace in the window ... still nothing. General resize [CTRL+R] and all other shortcuts work, just not the canvas resize.

Pixey
It's working fine for me too. @Lry are you using the latest version of paint.net? Djisves
Keyboard shortcuts don't work if your keyboard is set to a language that uses non-Latin characters, like Greek, Cyrilic, Arabic, Hebrew etc. Edited May 16, 2022 by Djisves typo

The Russian-language keyboard serves Ctrl+Shift+R and Ctrl+R without problems.
Djisves
It could be a coincidence. Try some other menu shortcuts and see. The ones I use most often and always have trouble with are the Move tools (M, MM) and the Selection tools (S, SS etc.).
ReMake
The problem exists only with the Tools. In other cases, the keyboard shortcuts work correctly.
Lry
I don't know how, or if, the problem is permanently fixed, but the resize shortcut is working again... perhaps was corrected in one of the updates.
Spaz490
for me the ctrl+r and shift+ctrl+r would randomly stop working and i would need to restart the app to get it to work again. but now the resize hotkeys have completely stopped working for paint.net as of V5.10.8674.32967 manually selecting the resize from the drop down menu still works on windows 11 - non win store version Edited October 14, 2023 by Spaz490

Paint.NET is working correctly. So, there must be something else getting in the way--either some keyboard manager is redefining Ctrl+R or there is a problem with Windows or your keyboard is failing. 1. If your keyboard is wireless, check the battery. 2. Try https://keyboardchecker.com/ to see if your keys are working 3. Apply any pending Windows Updates 4.
