nakis
I downloaded it three times with the same result, can't open it!
Sarkut
nakis, I just tried it and the zip is OK. Give this a try. Clear your browsers cache. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&sour ... 0&aql=&oq= Download from the link that you used before. Download to the default location - Desktop or Downloads folder typically. Don't extract the zip. Open it by left-clicking, then copy/paste the .dll files into the Effects folder. Best to do all this with the Paint.NET program closed.
Bourque2
Sorry, but had a question. Seems like I'm having the same problem as the people above. It took me awhile to finally figure out how to download plugins the other day, but I figured it out..I thought. I've downloaded and used many other plugins, but this one is giving me problems. I really just wanted the lens plugin. I'm trying to download EdHarvey's Newest Effects now. I can't seem to get to the DLL files from the initial Zip Folder (I have Windows Vista). I Unblocked it already and tried opening the zip folder. I did that with the other plugins to reach the DLL files and then moved them to the actual Paint.net Effects Folder and it worked. This one keeps telling me "Windows cannot open the folder. The compressed (zipped) Folder is invalid." I've tried doing this multiple times. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance. Bourque2
Ok yea sorry, it's still not working for me. The problem is I cant get to the dll files at all. I just have the zip and thats it. I've spent an insane amount of time on this, but still can't figure it out.

nakis
I cleared my browser’s cache If by “Open it by left-clicking” you mean double left click, I did that - same error “cannot open file…” Did all this with the Paint.NET program closed. Am using WinZip.
Sarkut
By left-clicking I mean let Windows open it, without the use of a zip program.

nakis
When I left-click nothing happens! I'm using Internet Explorer 8 I had no trouble unzipping "pyrochild_plugins_2009-11-30" and "Vandermotten.PaintDotNetEffects" and others.
Simon Brown
Note: Left-clicking means clicking with your index finger (assuming you're right-handed) once. Are you using this link? http://www.komplex.com.au/edfects/downl ... 080826.zip

Simon Brown
I just tried it and it doesn't work in Internet Explorer 8. Do you have another browser you can use to download it?
nakis
I am right-handed and I use my right hand index to left-click. No I don't have another browser. I used windows Explore getting "The Compressed (zipped) Folder is invalid or corrupted" error. When I point at "pyrochild_plugins_2009-11-30" I get "Files/Folders in Zip file: 16" When I point at "Vandermotten.PaintDotNetEffects" I get "Files/Folders in Zip file: 1" When I point on "EdHarvey-Effects-20080826" I get "Type: WinZip file"

Shmelly
Thanks for your help, about trying a different web Browser. I couldn't get this to download with IE, so I tried Chrome, and it worked! Thanks! Plus, I love: Simplify - Helps removing Anti-Aliased objects. Color Flip - I've never seen ANYTHING like it! Color Tilt - Awesome for changing around photos. Extract Channel - I've been looking for something like this for AGES. Single Hue - Used this on a checkerboard image, cool effect. Threshold - Great for cutting out images, into seperate layers, at least for me. Drop Ripple - More useful than I can say. Ripple - Good for flags, maybe? Vignette - Saves me a bunch of steps. Weave - Awesome! Seismograph - I'm not sure what this could be used for, pratically, but it is Cool. Thank you SO much. Come on, I don't Shmell THAT bad... BmB23
I installed this to get Unfocus+ since it looks rad. (Would be nice if one could pick and choose which ones to install, ah well.) I'll give you three guesses as to which effect has not appeared in the effects menu. Is it because the built-in Unfocus is actually the same as Unfocus+ now?
