TR's Custom Random Filler (January 28th, 2015)

This is a brilliant plugin TechnoRobbo. Thank you. -
I guess it means 3D text

I would like to think I am (fairly) good at making signatures. But how on earth do we create a 3D one ?

+1 Martin. I also like this idea. And would welcome it

Congratulations Skullbonz on your win Well done to all the other placers, Thanks to Drew the swift and smooth running again. I am impressed my effort even got one vote, never mind 5

Agreed. Norton and all the other paid variations throw out false positives to justify their price tag!

Useful. Thanks for sharing

Newer Paint.Net radically better than 3.5.11?
nitenurse79 replied to minni's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
Version 4+ is far better, the new features are excellent, I love the little puzzle icons in the sub menu's that indicate a plugin that does not ship with pdn, the GUI's on the plugins are nice on the eye, it is faster and sleeker, It is like getting out of a BMW and driving a Mercedes. I have to say, if I was running XP, I would not even think of using the internet on it. The upgrade path has been affordable for a long time now (Even Windows 7 was) I know some people don't have the funds on tap,to upgrade, but now that XP support has ended, I would say - you can't afford not to upgrade. -
Windows 7 64Bit - Can't Install
nitenurse79 replied to AWFordJr's topic in Troubleshooting & Bug Reports
Hello. You mention you are running windows 7 without any updates other than .NET framework 4.5. Do you have Windows 7 Service Pack One ? If not you need to update to that for Paint.net V4+ It also looks like you have a Direct 2D problem too. -
Congrats Pixey. Well done also to Cc4Fuzzy, Skullbonz and Nai. Very creative entries from all of you with only two plugins,a great selection was made here. Thanks Drew for picking it up again

The Plugin Browser (Updated 2015-24-01)
nitenurse79 replied to TechnoRobbo's topic in Plugins - Publishing ONLY!
Also getting the same crash as Skullbonz & Mottoman on that plugin @ Skullbonz: This is for you, IMHO - I would not wish to go back to 3.5.11, V4+ is far superior now, plus there is no longer any support for older versions -

Happy to be your eyes I also noticed in the pdf it is mentioned that Hawkynt's 2D-ImageFilter Library plugin is only compatible with V3.5.+ I can confirm it also works with V4. +

I notice a couple of plugins not mentioned, but recently published - Redochre's String and Pin / Calicolour plugins, plus The plugin browser.

Why does PaintNet remove EXIF data?
nitenurse79 replied to nimimerkki's topic in Troubleshooting & Bug Reports
I always think it is strange that with all the modern technology we have now, why do cameras save an image as a jpeg, when png is a far better format ? -
Why does PaintNet remove EXIF data?
nitenurse79 replied to nimimerkki's topic in Troubleshooting & Bug Reports
Always worth making a copy of your original image and adding as much of the exif data you can to your edit by Right Click > Properties on the new image. I always copy any photo I take before making edits. -
MikeRobe - A great metalic style texture, I really love the brushed style to what you have going on here and the whole mood of the work fits the title. I am reminded of a zoomed portion of an ultrasound. Cc4FuzzyHuggles - Stunning colours, really nice use of different layers to add depth to it. I think it would have worked a lot better without the flower pattern, but I do like the shine to the complete image. For these wonderful images I award MikeRobe X4 and Cc4FuzzyHuggles X5 So if I have my maths right, the score is now. MikeRobe 9 Cc4FuzzyHuggles 9 Both are very good entries. Very well thought out.
