  1. Thanks Djisves! I have Pdn4 on a W10 laptop with an HD (1920 by 1080)@100% screen but still use my Vista machine (Pdn 3.5.11, 1440 by 900 screen). So also prefer plugin U.I.s to fit on the screen and be compatible with Pdn 3.5.11 where possible.
  2. Hello Kolakhan, welcome to the forum! Unfortunately there isn't too much you can do now ... unless you can find the original image again. It is always best to place text on its own layer and save as a .Pdn file before flattening and saving in another file type. This makes it easy to change the text at a later date. You may be able to disguise the area where the current text is by using the clone tool.http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/CloneStamp.html Then add a new layer above this background and add the new text. Good luck!
  3. The article Null54 linked to says Windows 10 is only available if Windows 7 has SP1 installed ... well that's the way I read it?
  4. 1. Sort your 'new' computer out first! - windows 7? - apply as many Windows updates as it gives you - could take a while! 1a. When it says SP1 is installed you should be good to install, I think? 2. Are you downloading Pdn 3.5.11 from a 'bad' place? - filehippo seems to be the best choice. 3. If your anti-virus is Norton then you have no chance of ever installing anything useful... Do check everything you download though! ... there are better AV programmes (online free to check stuff only). 4. How did the laptop get 'broken'?... I'm worried you have downloaded something bad?
  5. Hey - you're good! (always very skilful work & great shapes packs) - posting the image is much appreciated, thank you. I did toy with the idea of heart shaped gradients. I found 'club' shapes by accident, whilst trying to make triangles (but didn't add them). It's tricky to add too many more gradient shapes unless I increase the U.I. size*, which I don't want to do as I dislike scrolling up and down. eg. Septagons, octagons etc. in standard polygon, 'flower' and 'clubs' flavours, would be easy... but does anyone need them?...or as I opted, keep the U.I. small, without scrolling? One day, possibly, I'll explore custom U.I.s further, with 'tabs', and throw in everything including the kitchen sink! ... square/triangular spirals etc, all possible but a cumbersome U.I. atm. *U.I. = user interface (I know you know that!).
  6. Duplicate the text layer :DuplicateLayer: . Use Outline object on the lower layer and Feather or AAassistant on the top layer then merge down? Edit - if hadn't wasted 2 minutes finding those icons I would have beaten E.E.R.!
  7. I don't see the problem getting the 'twists' where you need them but I do notice repeated use of Distort/Twist severely degrades the quality of the whole image? Seems to be blurring pixels outside of the twist radius (I was using it at lowest quality setting). You could try Pyro's Liquify plugin, that has a twist option and allows you to click the centre point on the U.I.http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=20688
  8. Does 'cirtangle' = 'squirkle'? http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/23194-squirkle/
  9. Excellent! ^ Finally I get it! - checked radio button is wire frame color - phew!
  10. http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/30192-trs-paste-frame-v-1310-custom-frame-maker/page-2 see post#39 TR's plugin can repeat an image around a selection edge for fancy oval frames, or other shapes for that matter.
  11. The new shapes pack looks great - very stylish!
  12. That's a great plugin! - you could try my 'Clip Displace' based on the same idea but Pdn 4.0.9 compatible.http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/32416-clipdisplace-smoothing-update-31122015/ If not you could P.M the author, but they haven't been around for while? Have you tried setting your resolution to 100%?
  13. Good work DS! Personally, I'd go 'minimal' - just red lines for the important speed limits if you're being followed! (Generally best to be looking at the road ahead). The spider version could be fun if the leg (on 72) was the speedo needle. Full 3D cast spider leg, easy to do in low-melt alloy or even painted/filled polyester resin - one off, just carve it! Buck - is there a matching rev counter? ... does the whole bike have a theme? ... have I misunderstood again and it's for a game not real bike? Just thoughts - no wish to offend anyone.
  14. Good luck getting the creases out of that alligator Pixey! Pixey & Seerose, Many thanks for saying thanks!
  15. Really? The language is English, to be exact.
  16. Another update! (and I still haven't updated the plugin pack). 1. I have added the ability to take both colours from the layer image, which makes 'transparent' gradients possible by altering the opacity sliders. 2. To keep the U.I. small I have added these choices to a drop-down menu. I have also removed the title 'Centre of Gradient' to save space. 3. Also added a 'Vignette' choice which only uses colour 1. (Please use the opacity sliders!). 4. NOTE: This still works for both Pdn 3.5.11 and Pdn 4+ BUT Pdn 3.5.11 doesn't have the ability to grey-out the color-wheel controls when inoperative (as Pdn4 does). 5. (The fun bit) I've added some new polygon and 'flower' shapes (examples below). Update on page one of this thread. ... and please feel free to post images made with the new version in this thread!
  17. Thanks for this Null54! I installed the Google Nik plugins and the PSFilter last night (pointed Nik to Pdn 4.0.9 and installed in Effects) - all works perfectly!
  18. I wrote the 'Selection2clear' plugin (in my pack, link in sig) to get around this. The plugin thread has a discussion of the selection/delete behaviour and alternative methods, here: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/24861-selection2clear/
  19. Another approach would be to first distort the lace layer to match the curve of the shape. Then place a copy of the shape on a layer above the lace layer. The shape can then be selected/inverted then deleted back on the lace layer. To distort the lace you could try, 'Gridwarp','Liquify' or for the shape shown even 'Sine wave distort' may work. Links in plugin index. I hope I haven't misunderstood what you are trying to achieve.
  20. Hello zediplomat, As the display size for the end user cannot be accurately controlled perhaps adding some form of scale to the images themselves may be worth considering? Possibly by adding a small 'ruler' that appears below the visible image but is actually a part of it and re-scales accordingly. Eg.http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/107652-ruler-v10-march-12-2016/ Just a thought...good luck!
