  1. Thank you all for your comments. I struggled with which direction to put the reflections because of the location of the light,lol,although I do have to agree,it would have looked better as RedBeard said.
  2. I'll see your cyber-flower nitenurse and raise ya one metalflower,lol. Very nice plugin Davidf,it's going to take awhile to see what all can be done with it. This one was my first try and I could see by that one I will be spending hours playing with this plugin. Thanks.
  3. LOL,Glad you liked Scooby,Helen. One of my favorite cartoons when growing up. I love making space pics but have to admit that I use terragen for the close up land. Everything else including the planets are made in pdn. Been playing with blending modes,layering and different effects to make nebulas,soon they will look real like Welshy makes,lol. POPPY58 I said the same thing almost 2 years ago when I found paint.net so don't give up or feel you can't do it. Start with tutorials,pick the ones that interest you and do them until you can make good pictures but don't be afraid to experiment. After awhile you will start using some of those techniques and make your own pictures from scratch. It won't be long and you too will be saying this to a noob.
  4. One from my gallery that I like that I think fits here,,, all made with pdn.
  5. At the top I added an abstract that looks to me like Scooby Doo from the cartoon show,lol. What do you see? lol This could be fun,lol. Also at the top of the space pics I added 2 of my most recent ones.
  6. I sent in 5 almost a week ago. No response from rafroller.
  7. At the top of the page in this forum section there is a link to a book. Here is a copy of the link;
  8. I have a question. Can this book just be downloaded into a pc and be able be read? Or do I have to buy the kindle in order to read it? I do not own a kindle,nor do I get into reading books except manuals so for me to purchase a kindle for one read seems wasteful.
  9. That is the first time I have seen that window since discovering PDN,I wonder how we got along before PDN,lol.
  10. Rick,what do you mean by "Parallels Desktop." ? I know several people,some relatives in a nearby state who would like to try pdn but can't because their state is mostly mac users on aol and it won't work. If this is a way it will,I am all ears.
  11. Ok,passed it on to my friends who are still stuck on layering,lol,and buying mine tomorrow. Maybe I'll learn how I'm supposed to use pdn instead of how i am and then I can compete with welshblue,lol.
  12. Thank you both for your comments. Hard to believe that two years ago I didn't know what an abstract was,lol. And I knew you would like those three Barbie. Oh ya,I added one more,I call it Aquasnake,lol.
  13. I love your pictures Helen, but my favorite time of the year is Spring when everything is coming to life,lol,not death in the fall. But I have to tell you that my most favorite of all of them so far has to be "Inner Glow".
  14. Thanks dug,I will. Thanks Helen,I find it hard to believe there isn't life other than us with all the billions of planets out there. As for the Art from the Mind,well,a lot of experimenting,all the great plugins,no formal art training so I think outside of the box,I like to do something different than others and I lived through the hippy days,lol. And both of you two have awesome pictures also.
  15. Thank you all three of you for your comments. I did what you did dug and went back to the old photobucket,also letting them know why I switched,lol. It has been awhile since I have been able to post any pictures so I added quite a few this time around,lol. I hope you like what you see. http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/21233-skullbonz-art-gallery-update-november-4th2012/#entry349670 @Xzerizon,,,I love the future genre also. I strive to better myself in this area but am doing so on a low budget forcing me to use free versions that limit options. I have found that learning even the free versions of these programs is a difficult task without formal training but will prepare me for when I can ever afford the pay versions. Paint.Net has been the best program I have found and has proven to be useful for many different things. I am having a hard time trying to make nebulas,my favorite space views,but will not give up until I can make them look like a Hubble pic,lol. Thank you for your encouragement,it tells me I am going in the right direction.
  16. I agree with Welsh on the smile,made me too. Nice idea with the page curl and nicely done nitenurse. I usually don't get into this comp but if I am allowed to vote I would give NN-1 and rafroller-0.
