Nice Helen,love the new sig and avatar.

Because of summer here and work I have not had much time for the computer. I have although managed to find time here and there to play and make some pics. I haven't been around for two months and love all the new pictures you all posted,some really awesome ones in the bunch. It is amazing what you can do with Paint.net and the learning never stops. I wanted to add a few of my favorites from the past couple months so you can see what I've been up to,lol. I hope you find something you like. Thank you Helen and Barbie. I found a few from the Vista pc and added them. Be carefull with 25-a,it looks like it's moving and draws you in,lol. Welcome. Photo manip's are fun but be careful who's pictures you manip,lol. I speak from experience after making a few family members and friends very mad at me,lol. Good luck and hope to see some pics soon.

I am back with a few more pics on my upgraded pc and having fun playing with PDN. I have learned that a fast pc makes a difference in how much fun you can have. Man I love all the Super plugins. Thank you to all who have made them,without you I would still be just dreaming. I hope you enjoy this latest bunch. Which link are you people using? " Download trail3d here " <--This one? If you are and it works for you I don't know why it doesn't work for me. I get the zip file but when I go to extract the files,there are none in there. I know my pc is not blocking me because I just downloaded and installed several other plugins from the plugin index with no problems. I am using win 7 pro. However I figured out a way around it and have it now. I use another pc with vista and still had the zip file on file,lol. So I just copied it and extracted it on this pc. Problem solved for me,,but maybe it should be looked into. Thank you all.

I just got this pc back from being fixed and redownloaded pdn. Last night I redownloaded a ton of plugins with no problem and installed them in pdn and they all work. This one keeps telling me that the zip file is empty. I have no clue why it doesn't work for me,nothing looks blocked here.

The link is broken,nothing in the zip file for Trail3D. I am going to miss this plugin very much.

Nice work BoltBait and nice plugins. I love the spray snow pic and the car coming out of the picture,awesome. What works? Trapped in the Machine? It didn't do anything for me.

Thank you both for your comments. And to think that a little over a year ago I started with Barbieq25's jewel tutorial,lol. Before discovering PDN I had no formal training in art,just a lifetime of doodling on paper. Oh ya since I started using computers in 98 on windows98,lol,I have always wanted to make pics and videos on them. I tried all kinds of paint programs over the years and they all are either so complicated that an uneducated art student will take years to figure out how to use or they are so limited in effects that it is impossible to make decent pics. Paint.Net was like a gift from heaven,being fairly easy to learn along with the forums and all the great people plus the awesome plugins. I have done many tutorials but when I do them I use a great deal of experimentation and doing so I discover new ways to do other things in other pics. It is this experimentation that leads me to all these pics that I make,lol,you should see what I do with family and friend pics,lol. But Helen I must say that I cheat a little on the textures for my planets,lol,but maybe it isn't cheating,you judge. I was out one day taking pictures of different rock faces to use for textures in my pics and one day decided to try and make a planet with one because of the cool grains in it. Using PDN to change the colors,etc. first, I then use shape3D with several readjustments and place in the pic. Some times I don't like the look so I just undo back to the pic and try something else. I have discovered that if you use the majic wand set at about 30% tolerance you can lock on to either the lighter or darker color,copy and paste in another layer. Then color to look like water,place above the texture pic layer and add a little gaussian blur,merge the two and then do shape 3D. Experimenting is the key for this novice,lol. I am not by far as good as most around here and they give me great inspiration to strive to get better. Tutorials are a great starting point for anyone,but remember that the steps are not set in stone,experiment and adapt!

Using rock texture pictures for the planets? They look good. Check out the ones I did using rock textures,they make great planets.

What is a C4D? I really like the Spaceship Orion picture the best,but all are real good.

I'm back again,but in a limited state,lol. My newer windows 7 machine is broke right now. I have been having blue screen problems for a couple months and it finally quit. I tried all the normal steps and now it is down to the ram or the motherboard. I am praying it is not the motherboard. Next time I am building my own,the ones they sell to the general public, all built, are junk. The tip off should be when they ask you if you would like to purchase the extended waranty program. Put it back on the shelf!!! They try to sell you those because they know it will break after the first year. I almost get the feeling the manufacturers program something in them,but I could be just having paranoid dilusions,lol. Anyway for now I am not down and out,I'm back with an older 1.8g cpu windows xp machine. I couldn't download some of the plugins because of the machine's limits,lol,but I got enough to play and relieve my withdrawals. Thank you for letting it still work on XP,you saved someone's life. Oh ya,,I did manage to save all my pics and pdn files before she died on an external. Save,save,save!! Where have I heard that before? Hmmmmm.
