  1. Reset the scores and let the battle begin!
  2. Interesting thought! Potential issues: If Plugin Index is held as an external file - there will be problems locating it. See how many users find installing plugins problematic? If Plugin Index is held as an internal resource, it enlarges the Browser and will slow load time. PB could poll a server for the info or updates (currently monthly) but this would naturally slow load time. I could fairly easily produce a stripped down version of the PI for use with PB. I'd filter the description for words of a certain length and call them keywords.
  3. Hi Alucard2k! Welcome to the forum Using zoom to window either sets the image to the window size (if the image is larger than the window at 100%) or sets the image size to 100% if the image is smaller than the window. Think of this feature as allowing you to snap a large image to the maximum size that can be viewed without scrolling. It does not enlarge a small image to the window size. Actual Size should show the image at 100%. This is the correct behavior. <moved to paint.net Discussion & Questions>
  4. We didn't 'approach' you - we sneaked up from behind and press-ganged you
  5. Have a look in BoltBait's plugin pack http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/28488-boltbaits-plugin-pack-for-v40-updated-july-13-2014/ The Transparency effect allows you to adjust the transparency of a selection.
  6. Try sharpening the image with Effects > Photo > Sharpen. Set the radius fairly small.
  7. You should be very pleased with that Kasadia. It's a really nice image.
  8. Imgur Uploader was recently updated. Did you download the newest version?
  9. I believe this is fixed in 4.0.3. Get it here: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/29376-paintnet-403-is-now-available/
  10. AA's Assistant is a plugin, Median is a built-in effect. You'll find it in the Effects > Noise submenu.
  11. It depends a lot on the source layer. Do you have lines on their own layer or do they share a layer with other elements? If on their own layer, Object Outline will thicken the lines. Median or AA's Assistant will thin them. Paintbrush select: 1. Add a new layer. 2. Use the paintbrush to cover the region you want to select. 3. Use the Magic Wand to select the painted region (or select outside the painted region and invert with Ctrl + I) 4. Click on the layer which has the image you want to select - and it is! Because the selection moves with the active layer.
  12. Try this: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/19517-beginner-image-merging-image-heavy/ In your case you'll need to use a Radial Gradient instead of the linear one shown in step 3.
  13. For a white background removal I would use 1. Magic want with a low tolerance or 2. The AlphaSpace plugin.. AlphaSpace is particularly easy to use.
  14. White and gray checkerboard pattern is the way paint.net indicates transparency. It's quite correct to have this pattern in an area devoid of color.
  15. I'll get on to this later today. I have a handful of plugins to check - SpriteSheet Export has been added to the list.
  16. -= a I'll match your Steganography and raise you a Stereogram. I'm just joking. I think Steganography sounds an excellent idea.
  17. Check the date stamp of this post - it worked fine for me just now.
  18. A theme without code would be a website mockup. There are plenty of those available online which can be followed with paint.net. e.g. http://www.sitepoint.com/design-flat-website-mockup-photoshop/
  19. Hi Richard. You need the Custom Brushes plugin to create and use your own brush shapes. I suggest you read through the thread carefully, especially the last few pages, as getting your brushes to work is just a little complex. This tutorial is also a great read http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/18959-how-to-use-custombrushesmini-v19/
  20. Answers #1 Not necessary. The paint.net developer Rick cleverly makes a new version install over the older one. Even your plugins persist. Neat eh? #2 Donations are used to further development. You are encouraged to make a voluntary donation to support this fantastic piece of software. Paint.net doesn't 'remember' you have donated. That's between you and Rick. You're free to use and update paint.net as many times as you wish.
  21. Rick added his +1 to the thread reputation. That's a good sign! A bad sign would be a locked thread.
  22. Mirror over Line Results may be odd as you have an image with unequal W & H, but here's what I got You may need to select and stretch the results to fill the lower left corner.
