  1. Mr Robbo. That's one impressive image! I feel like I'm looking at a box of licorice allsorts
  2. Ah. You can't get rid of me without a bottle of bleach, gloves and a mask.
  3. This is far too drastic. As a final solution - just possibly + maybe, but there is plenty to try before we get to that. Try Midora's advice and see what you can find. Feel free to upload the file to see if one of the smart cookies on the forum can help recover it.
  4. Thanks for the warning Renee. I guess it's timely to mention that we should always be careful what we download.
  5. Click the first link you posted. Click the link BoltBaitPack40.zip which is surrounded by arrows.
  6. Can't be done. Plugins don't have that ability. See Limitations of Plugins
  7. Yes there is. Check this out Text Pro. it's like Word Art for paint.net. Note that is is a free demo. You need to subscribe/register for the full version.
  8. The effect you're looking for is called Posterize. It allows you to progressively reduce the number of shades. Open the adjustment using the menu Adjustments > Posterize or with the keyboard combination Ctrl + Shift + P. Lower the sliders to reduce the number of individual colors.
  9. Sorry to hear that TechyButterflies We do try to warn people. Unfortunately the damage is usually done by the time the User starts asking questions on the forum. I hope the removal is not too much of a problem.
  10. Are you up to date with your Windows Updates? Have you tried repairing the .NET framework?
  11. Welcome to the forum Jackk! I've edited your thread title for you. It's a requirement of our forum that thread titles be descriptive. This helps others when searching for information within the forum.
  12. Highlight the layer that the object is on. Press F4. Slide the opacity slider to the left.
  13. There used to be one Enormators Effects It's now lost in the mists of time. These days we simply use the information in the Status bar i.e. we do the math! horizontal = 248 + 0.5 * 231 pixels (see the problem here?) vertical = 181 + 0.5 * 209 pixels. Title - edited.
  14. Resize down by a factor of two. 1/2 size, 1/4 size, 1/8 size etc..... This makes sure that an even number of pixels are polled in order to arrive at the output pixel values. Always use the same factor for both height and width - I'd use the % scale. What are the before and after dimensions?
  15. Try Effects > Photo > Sharpen following the resize. Use a small value, perhaps 1 or 2.
  16. I'm not sure that you were 'forced' to upgrade. Notified yes. The prompt says something like "A new version of paint.net is available....." right? You can disable the update checks. Go to Setting > Updates and uncheck both checkboxes.
  17. These instructions are for Win7. Do you have Admin status on your PC?
  18. Right click on the page... Save Page As.... Repeat for all pages you need to archive (there's around 60). There are archiving tools - or you could buy my book!
  19. I suspect you have the plugins installed - but are not sure where to look for them in the menu system. Hover over Dream or Pastel in the Effects > Artistic submenu. The tool tip should show like this... Once you confirm that you have these installed,go back to the thread where you got them and find the other locations. BoltBait has helpfully noted the menu location of each plugin/effect in this thread BoltBait's Plugin Pack
  20. Still sounds like a failing HDD to me. Try this - Open file explorer (Microsoft flag key + E). Right click on C: HDD under Computer. Then click Properties > Tools tab. Check now button.
