  1. Please just put them up on the forum, or filefront and then give us the link >_>. Also, so basically it's a PDF containing info. on PDN? If so, that's why it has a website.
  2. Guys, am I missing something or in spite of both this alert and an update note at Sepcot's page ("Updated: April 23, 2007 - Changed references of PdnLib to PaintDotNet.Core in compliance with Paint.NET Version 3.05 and above."), the downloadable template is not the (supposedly) updated one, but the one from 2007-03-06 (first update) that still references PdnLib and stuff?? :?: :? Yeah, I just changed that myself in the template. It's takes a minute So, it works in the BETA of VS 2008, good......I'll check when it's released as a full version.
  3. LOL Teacher, you missed the point completely! Rest assured I'm far beyond 2nd grade... FYI I'm a Senior R&D Systems/Software Engineer and Systems Architect, besides creating Process Control & Industrial Automation systems-related HMI's for a living!* LOL Ok, let me tell (not teach ) you this: It all depends on the underlying platform (many conditions apply...) and also on the underlying framework, among many, many other things, ok? My simple question remains... so any other useful tips will still be very appreciated! * Toli, next time less attitude, will you? I tend to react badly to such things... Great. Professor vs. Senior R&D Systems/Software Engineer and Systems Architect
  4. I think you misunderstood me. I'll explain it with pictures this time. Lets take the UI of your Emboss/Engrave plug-in, and then pyrochild's Outline Object UI. Now, ignore the theme change. How come your UI's are similar, to say the Colour/Layers...etc. windows, while the majority of the others have a normal windows box around them, like in pyrochild's plug-in?
  5. I believe the new VS is coming out soon. Anyone going to see if this template works for when it comes out?
  6. Eh? I'm not downloading WINRAR for this. Also, what do they all do? I mean, plug-in pack's should really tell you about all the plug-in's, like what EdHarvey does.
  7. I have one thing to ask, how come the effect dialog boxes are different from the other plugin's compared to yours? I'm just wondering really, not asking for a change.
  8. Well, tips wise, try and get rid of the things which spoil it, according to me.
  9. It's kinda of ugly, TBH. I don't really like the oil painting effect on it. It dosen;t look right. And it's generally dull.
  10. Uhh.....ok, have you got a .PDN of it, with the text on a seperate layer? If not, your going to have an extremely tough time getting it removed.......
  11. Well, here's a little present of such from me. Anyways, it's a piece of pop art I made. Designed perspefically for the purpose of being actually printed and hung. For people's information, this piece of art can be printed out to 58 cm without any damage. Of course, that'll only happen when I could get prints done Anyways, here it is. It's the first of a 5 piece pop art series. This piece of is the Depth Edition of it. So, yeah, here's the link. http://ilia-and-link-lover.deviantart.c ... h-69793489
  12. I really like this, but when PDN 3.20 comes out, can you add the centering system some of the plug-in's have now?
  13. This text file was created because Paint.NET crashed. Please e-mail this file to paint.net@hotmail.com so we can diagnose and fix the problem. Application version: Paint.NET v3.20 (Alpha 2 Release build 3.20.2871.36803) Time of crash: 14/11/2007 15:36:53 Application uptime: 00:04:55.8437500 OS Version: 5.1.2600.131072 Service Pack 2 Workstation x86 .NET Framework version: 2.0.50727.832 x86 Processor: 2x "Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz" @ ~3000MHz (SSE, SSE2) Physical memory: 1023 MB Tablet PC: no Locale: pdnr.c: en-US, hklm: en-US, hkcu: n/a, cc: en-GB, cuic: en-US Exception details: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at EdHarvey.Edfects.Controls.SplitButton.SetButtonDrawState() at EdHarvey.Edfects.Controls.SplitButton.OnEnabledChanged(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.set_Enabled(Boolean value) at EdHarvey.Edfects.Effects.ThresholdEffectConfigDialog.histogramLoadWorker_RunWorkerCompleted(Object sender, RunWorkerCompletedEventArgs e) at System.ComponentModel.BackgroundWorker.OnRunWorkerCompleted(RunWorkerCompletedEventArgs e) at System.ComponentModel.BackgroundWorker.AsyncOperationCompleted(Object arg) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Looks like a plug-in escaped your plug-in crash system
  14. That's why we have a rounded rectangle drawing tool. Ok, here's a mini-tutorial on how you can get it done. 1. Open your image in PDN. 2. Create a new layer. 3. Using the rounded rectangle drawing tool, select the area of which you want to be cropped, making sure the lines don't go into an area you want/need. 4. Repeat until your happy. 5. Get the magic wand tool and select inside the rounded rectangle. 6. Invert the slection by pressing Ctrl + I, then go onto the layer which has the image you want to crop. 7. Press delete, then delete the other layer. 8. Crop the canvas (using normal selection and the new fixed ratio option in PDN 3.20 APLHA) to the size you want. 9/ (Optional) Feather the image if you want (Check the plug-in's section for it, it's stickied) and 10. Save as .PNG. And you should get something you want.
  15. That's what seam carving is I'm pretty sure someone created a basic program using it. Google it.
  16. I don't know, mabye allow it to be resizable to a certain extent? I thought it would be easy because it was a simple slip up when using Visual Studio's design tools
  17. Depends really. You can use it under the terms of the MIT license, but by the looks of it your making this sound more like advertising....... Edit by Rick: Fixed "MTK lisence" to be "MIT license"
  18. One slight bug.....the button's are slightly covered by the slider box. I'm sure it'll be a 2 minute job, but I'd still think it would be nice to have it proper.
  19. Ah. I actually meant the plug-in in general, do you just get a smaller picture than the canvas then use photo flood to duplicate the picture?
  20. Ok. First of all, I'd think it would be easier to change the mask colour using a color wheel. Secondly, how exactly does this work? I mean, I can't get it to work.
  21. Yup. Used as a rememberance symbol to represent that after a certain battle in WW 1 or 2, only the poppy flower grew.
  22. Read the last two rules. They can just bump it back up. I just want generally a way to filter the tutorials section.
  23. File: C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Effects\XYCoords.dll Effect Name: XYCoordsEffect.XYCoordsFx Full error message: PaintDotNet.WorkerThreadException: Worker thread threw an exception ---> System.DivideByZeroException: Attempted to divide by zero. at XYCoordsEffect.XYCoordsFx.Render(Rectangle[] rois, Int32 startIndex, Int32 length) at PaintDotNet.Effects.Effect`1.Render(EffectConfigToken parameters, RenderArgs dstArgs, RenderArgs srcArgs, Rectangle[] rois, Int32 startIndex, Int32 length) at PaintDotNet.Effects.BackgroundEffectRenderer.ThreadFunction() --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at PaintDotNet.Effects.BackgroundEffectRenderer.Join() at PaintDotNet.Effects.BackgroundEffectRenderer.Start() at PaintDotNet.Menus.EffectMenuBase.<>c__DisplayClassa.b__8(Object sender, EventArgs e) A nice error report I got. Basically, setting any of the variables to 0 throws an exception and causes a crash. Either that or if you mess with the sliders too much it causes a crash.
  24. That's just plain annoying. I mean, was it really worth posting something done in 2 minutes and isn't even describably as abstract (then again, most "abstract" works posted here actually aren't) to cause near epelitic fits? I mean seriously, that could actually cause one.
