  1. I agree; mostly. Having to 'Undo' after a 'Save As' can be a nuisance. Personally, I would like Save and Save As to only work with project files (.pdn, .ora, .psd) The single image formats (.png, .bmp, jpeg) would be made available in an Export menu item. However, I certainly understand why it is step the way it is, and it too has its merits.
  2. You're looking for shopping advice in regards to Christmas tress and decorations? Then you posted some Christmas art tutorials? I have no idea what's going on in this forum topic.
  3. Version 1.1.0.1 posted. When downloading the plugin index from the forum, The Plugin Browser was using the default text encoding of the OS. This caused an issue for non-latin locales. The Plugin Browser now explicitly uses UTF-8 encoding when doing the download.
  4. Thanks for reporting this. I have confirmed the issue on a Russian installation of Windows. I'll try to resolve the issue this coming weekend.
  5. Good job. Any special reason you used "Grad Percent" in the UI, instead of "Gradation Percent"? It could confuse some people, as 'Grad' can be an abbreviation for a few things. Reminds me that I need to finish my Lite-Brite plugin I started many months ago.
  6. @NomBot, I see you've posted an update. It is customary to update the topic's Title to include the most recent Release Date and/or Version Number. That way people can see if there's an update (or not) without having to open the topic.
  7. I've updated the effect using the original source code provided by @archip in the first post. Fixes: - No longer crashes - Faster and more efficient - Works properly on non-rectangular selections
  8. Sorry, that feature does not exist in paint.net.
  9. I think the term "Size" (on the first control) is a bit misleading. I think "Arm Length" or something similar would be more accurate.
  10. You need to reinstall .NET Framework 3.5 SP1. That should correct the error you're getting with paint.net v3.5.x. However, to use paint.net v4, you'll need to be running Windows 7 or newer. Who's Bud?
  11. Oh, my mistake. Windows 8.1 is fine. Reboot your computer, and then try to install .NET v4.6.2 using the offline installer. Download it here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53344
  12. Showing those error snippets without the full log is pretty useless. Why not just update your Windows 10 to the Anniversary Update? Kill two birds with one stone.
  13. If you're using Windows 10 Anniversary Update (version 1607) or newer, you already have .NET Framework v4.6.2 installed. Otherwise, you could try clicking on that blue "log file" from your screenshot.
  14. It shows that information in paint.net's status bar. "Bounding rectangle size: ...."
  15. After making a selection, switch to the "Move Selected Pixels" tool (). You'll then be able to resize the selection by clicking and dragging the control nubs.
  16. Yeah, looks like SetupNgen.exe is failing for whatever reason. It should have its own log file in the Windows temp directory. See if that has any information in it. Here's the full file path: %temp%\pdnSetupNgenInstall.log
  17. Maybe @gaz is looking for this one from Simon Brown:
  18. The search box on this forum is in the top-right corner. 1. Select Inches in the status bar 2. Select Resize in the Image menu 3. The "Help" menu is on the far right
  19. Final as in non-beta; v4.0.12 became stable and no more test builds (betas) were need. Thus, v4.0.12 final. The final is specific to the particular version, and does not mean 'final paint.net'.
  20. If I understand you correctly, you want to create a composite image from a few photos that were taken at an interval? Is that right? Like this person did? http://media.digitalcameraworld.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/123/2016/03/NIK56.zone_7.Opener.jpg
  21. This plugin pack can still be downloaded from archive.org: https://web.archive.org/web/20150104092931/http://www.hot.ee/tanelry/tanel_pluginpack_20120305.zip
  22. Rick was saying that you installed 'World of Tanks' from the Windows Store, not paint.net.
  23. This is a sign that your paint.net installation has become corrupted in one way or another. Please use this utility to remove your current paint.net installation: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/mats/program_install_and_uninstall Afterwards, you can install paint.net anew.
