Sounds like you are clicking on the already downloaded files. I meant to go back to the links in this thread and begin the download process all over again from the beginning.

With the copies you have already downloaded you could rename the files in Windows Explorer.

Right click the downloaded file > Rename should work.

 

I think the forum software is messing with attached filenames.

Web browsers are supposed to read the MIME type provided by the server, regardless of the extension.

 

Most browsers comply with the standard, and will offer to open it as the detected MIME type:

I get the same response if I rename the file! And it does the same thing in Firefox!

 

How about somebody else please try to download the .xml files. If you get them please let me know how you did it.

Are you really renaming the file extension, and not the filename? Windows hides extensions by default after all. If you haven't unhid them, you can't change them.

I successfully downloaded, and loaded the XML files into Shape3D before I posted that the links are still working. :D
