I fail.

I can't get it good, don't know how to color the bars etc.

kevin a good way to color a light image in a dark one is:

1.create new layer

2.use the fill tool and fill the whole layer with a color

3.layer properties- overlay

4.merge down

it works well if you want to you can play with the opacity levels to lighten the overall color effects

I did my first sig.

I didnt add the eclipes cuz i didnt know how to recolor the shadow

hey Nil Ivan

resize sigs to 500 by 150 pixels......... its the required size for sigs

As for re-coloring the shadow u can follow steps below....

1. new layer

2. run gradiant bars, prim black sec white opacity 0

3. set gradiant tool to circle

4. place in desired region

4.5. you can run sepia to flattern the colors or black and white in Adjustments.<------Optional

5. run curves, set to RGB, and play with settings until happy.

post your new images here......... good attempt, check my gallery for sig sizes and to gain an idea of how to start.

Good luck and have fun with PdN........Siddek

I like Ventor's outcome, but I couldnt figure it out.

After completing the tutorial I went back and rendered the text with clouds, flames and outline object.

I then re-created the reflected text in a new layer via mirroring and applied jitter in a vertical direction to that of the reflected text.

I also filled the ellipse with darker flames than that used in the text and blurred it a lot more!

I've just started working on this and can't get the gradient bars to taper down in the middle, has anyone got any idea how you do that? apologies if it's been covered before but i'm new at this!

Also when you get to step 9 my image doesn't look like that with the top half all flames and the bottom half just a solid band!

At step 3 it says after running the gradient bars play with the Seed value? what does that mean?

I must be missing something.

Can anybody give me any tips?

The taper is created once you have carried out step 5 on a new layer and set the layer properties to color burn in step 6. This is an extremely well written tutorial and I can only suggest that you might have missed a step if your results do not replicate or come close to the end result.
