  1. You could also use this plugin to achieve the effect on either of your images on a transparent background: Drop Shadow 19 Feb 2008KrisVDM Creates a highly configurable shadow around an object. Found in Kris VDM's Plugin Pack.See also: #8375 EffectActiveUntestedEffects > ObjectVandermotten.PaintDotNetEffects.DropShadow.dll & Vandermotten.PaintDotNetEffects.dll
  2. If that is indeed the case, then pyrochild has a plugin call film.dll that Tjmcnee may want to try. It is in the pyrochild plugins set at the link below: After installation it will appear in the Effects>Photo tab
  3. Greetings! Paint.NET is not a video effects/editing app. You will have to a use free alternative to Adobe Premier. Superb video editing systems are built into Blender and DaVinci Resolve which are 100% free.
  4. Greetings! It appears that you are using some Add-on to Firefox that allows you to do web page capture. The bluing of the image is probably just an indicator that the image is being highlighted for capture but has no effect on the capture itself.
  5. You could use a plugin by TechnoRobbo called "Alpha Cutter V 3.0.4" Use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out Use the right mouse button to pan & tilt through the image while zoomed in
  6. Greetings! I sounds like a part of your system; that deals with printing may have become corrupted. You can find out by opening the Command Prompt as an Administrator and typing: sfc /scannow at the flashing cursor and press the enter key. This will scan your system for corruption.
  7. Nice job Bolt Bait. I like it. BTW: My technique also did not require plugins since the paintbrush, wand tool, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation art not plugins either.
  8. Greetings! If your original image had a wooden table in it, you are well on your way to completing your project. Use the Wand Tool set to Global with ~37% Tolerance to make the table color #FFB27F you posted in this forum transparent. Now duplicated the layer so that you will have two layers with a transparent table. On the top layer with the transparent layer use Adjustments> Brightness / Contrast effect with -100 Brightness and 100 Contrast to create a black mask. Use the paintbrush to black out the picture frame and glare artifacts to complete the mask. Place the original image that has the wooden table under the black mask layer and work with adjusting the Hue of the original layer. Save your project with all layers to a PDN file before going to this next step to have a backup in case of error. Have the black mask over the Hue shifted image of the original. Merge down and use the Wand Tool set to Contiguous to make the black from of mask transparent. Now you should have the recolored table on its own layer to use as you please.
  9. You could apply the Wand Tool effect and if it is not what you want then hit the 'Undo' arrow. This can work until or if the feature that you requested is added or explained.
  10. @James Stockdale Greetings! If you want to go the PDN plugin route; there is a one by Joshua Lamusga that will accomplish your goal. Download: Replace Colors
  11. Your image is 600 x 600 pixels which is size of a 6.25 x 6.25 inch print made to be viewed at a distance of ~ 10 to 18 inches away. My above image is made to print as a 52 x 52 inch poster that is typically viewed from 3 to 6 feet away. The image that I created above was created with anti-aliasing disabled, so the curves in the image are pixellated Your image appears to be sharp and clear because it has anti-aliasing enabled and is 800% smaller than my image. The anti-aliasing defuses the pixellization in a raster image but does not remove it! I have linked two additional files here. One is a vector file in SVG format of the Flower of Life background with 12px width black stokes on a transparent field. The seconds is a raster file at 5000 x 4503 px - 96 PPI - Flower of Life background create from the SVG image. http://apmauldin.com/Image_Storage/Flower_Of_Life_001B.svg http://apmauldin.com/Image_Storage/Flower_Of_Life_001B.tif
  12. I have created an image screen using a Flower Of Life pattern tile that I created in Paint.NET. It is a 4998 x 4331 pixels; at 96 PPI; piece of black line art on a transparent background. I am sharing it thru the link below: Flower_of_Life_03.tiff
  13. I used the Compo Grids plugin as well as the Seamless Texture Maker plugin in making the masking for this project:
  14. @ROFERLI Andrew David produced some XAML Shapes files that may be useful to you. These files can be loaded into the 'paint.net\Shapes' folder and applied via the Shapes Tool. For other XAML shape files visit this part of Paint.NET forum: https://forums.getpaint.net/forum/48-shapes/ BTW: I may be convenient to search the public domain for Sacred Geometry designs in SVG format and use Inkscape to scale them up to dimensions you are planning to work with and save them as TIFF or PNG and import/open them in Paint.NET
  15. @lynxster4 Thank you! I must be experiencing problems external to PDN. I will investigate further.
  16. I have not used the Genesis VFX plugin in a while. I attempted to use its effects in a project last night and it ran as slow as molasses in the winter.
  17. You can go to the plugin index of this forum and search for 'blur' to get a list of various types of blur plugins. It is a good idea to back up the Paint.NET Effects and FileTypes folders from now on!
  18. @BArtVdB You are responding to a two year old query!
  19. Proof by Degrees This is something that you can prove to yourself. Just type in 0.5 degrees and see what happens. I have produced a graphic as a PNG file that shows what is possible. http://apmauldin.com/Image_Storage/Proof_by_Degrees.png I found a 2000 x 2000 pixel protractor @ deviant art and used it as my layer one On top of this layer I added a transparent layer two to which I added a 2 pixel green line segment at the 45 degree mark I then used the zoom/rotate plugin to rotate the protractor layer 0.50 degrees
  20. Here is another one of my works utilizing the Shape 3D plugin:
  21. @Bebeto94 What you are attempting is easier to accomplished with a vector app such as Inkscape or with the vector plugin for Paint.NET called ShapeMaker.
  22. I have all of my commercial work done at my local FastSign shop. My commercial works are usually 5000 x 5000 pixels (25 megapixels) I use to make my sRBG to CMYK conversions myself using the Cyan conversion utility but the lead printer at the shop told me that it was not necessary. I do take my monitors ICC profile with me but I sit with the lead printer and the image conversion and corrections are made on site to my satisfaction before doing the final output. Some of my images are designed to print to 8 x 4 feet media. I use Paint.NET, Expression Design 4, Power Point 2010, Inkscape, Corel Draw X15, and Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop CS5 Good Luck!
  23. You can use this open source freeware to make the RBG to CMYK conversion: https://cyan.fxarena.net RGB is a more efficient color printing format. There can be a 30% color drop in CMYK. Most good printers will print RBG just fine.
