  1. Beautiful Christmas image! Very well composed and clever use of 'focus'. Well done!
  2. 1000 posts! - congratulations - the milometer clicks over. Great image, great plugin. I also really like the very top of the image where the tilted layer ends and you can see the blurred layer below. Or is it your depth of field effect? - either way it looks good, gives a real 3D look. I keep changing my focus looking for one of E.E.R's 'magic eye' (stereogram) images.
  3. ^^E.E.R. is correct. - I forgot about the loincloth (I'm ashamed to say it's not the first time! )
  4. Welcome to the forum Vanadium, I'm not an expert on file types - sorry. You could try this though: Select File/ 'Save As', then select .png from the drop-down list. When the Save Configuration window shows select the 8 bit checkbox. I'm only guessing as you may want a more exotic 8bit file type. Perhaps take a look through the File types section of the plugin index?
  5. This one may cover Diffuse & Specular? http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=9480 ... and yes, difficult to find in the index as different names, try using this search. http://www.getpaint.net/search.html
  6. Step 2.5.a - Try changing the magic wand's 'Flood mode' to 'Global' , this should pick up any enclosed white areas. ... So many ways!
  7. There are different techniques for selecting and pasting. In this case I would: 1. Select the 'magic wand' and set the tolerance quite low, say 10%. 2. Click on the WHITE background and make sure only the white is shown as selected.(if not, change tolerance and try again) 3. Click Edit/Invert Selection (now only the 'body' should be selected along with the anti-aliased edges). 4. Click Edit/Copy 5. Click Edit/Paste into New layer. Hope that helps.
  8. All good new additions Seerose. I really like the sailing ship!
  9. Cool new additions! Gears nicely aligned! ... and yes, Third dimension is highly addictive.
  10. 404 - clever process - well written! - could be easier? http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/27058-furblur-update-30th-july-2014/
  11. Many thanks for the new version TR! Watch out - this is a highly addictive plugin! The new ability to cast shadows and add a distant haze give a great sense of depth. Top work!
  12. Sure you didn't make it yourself using codelab and Boltbait's tutorials? http://boltbait.com/pdn/codelab/help/tutorial.asp Btw - welcome to the forum! Descriptive thread titles make it easier for others to search the forum for answers - you can edit it by using the 'use full editor'/ 'more reply options' button.
  13. - Glad I could help. One other thought - you may find my 'gears' plugin useful for making the geometric pattern. http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/29795-gears-released-22082014/
  14. Hello Chifii, welcome to the forum! You may find this tutorial useful http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/12302-magic-circle-pictures-lots-of-pictures/ and this plugin too http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=16347
  15. Another useful Yellowman tutorial for a deeper inset text is on youtube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTdV9poYhS0&list=UUTjKGkRbr5gIK1oOnWc_MuA&index=6 (Pretty sure it's by Yellowman?) Edit: changed the link to the one I meant (I'm sure you could find the 'inset text' one from the previous link though).
  16. Hello KAL - welcome to the forum! If you read posts 243 & 245 in this thread, user 'M_Lyons4' explains better than I can.
  17. Hi Xhin, Great to see you posting images here again! Love the latest ones, good range of colours and textures and always a challenge to try to work out how you made them too!
  18. Very good result from the tutorial Kreignitz! Welcome to the forum too! (btw I think your image is a little large. You could either resize it to 800px wide or link to it via a thumbnail view).
  19. Thanks Pixey and BBQ! - much appreciated I set out to make one thing (glass trees) and ended up with another (a seascape) - but always fun using Pdn and too many plugins to remember.
  20. Same here! Hello austint30, I included Bevel object in my plugin pack in the last update (July 2014) - link in my sig below. Only my most recent ones Facet, Gears etc., the original clipwarp and some 'oldies' should have individual downloads now. I just haven't got around to updating the text on all the publishing pages yet.
  21. Ishi - you could try my 'Overblur' plugin, set to sharpen, if you are trying to increase wrinkles and blemishes. http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/24585-overblur-changes-standard-gaussian-blur/ Those tutorials you linked to look fun! off topic: I have PS elements 5 and recently bought a book "advanced techniques for PS Elements 6" from a charity shop. I could do everything better with Pdn! (except perhaps colour profiles & CYMB print stuff). @E.E.R. - looking forward to that one - does sound good!
