  1. If you put the file in a zip you can add it to a post using the Attachments function at the bottom of the Full Editor Reply page.
  2. Good old Norton. Maybe it will allow one of these: http://www.filedropper.com/ http://www.mediafire.com/
  3. Here's a starting point: Open your form image in Paint.NET. At the bottom-left of the floating Layers window, click on the Add New Layer icon. Now click on your Background layer in the Layers window. (This makes it the active layer.) The Clone Stamp icon is in the Tools window, left side fourth up from the bottom. Click that, then with the Ctrl key down click a text-free area. (This sets the anchor point from which the Clone Stamp will begin pulling image pixels to apply at the stamp point.) Next, click the new layer in the Layers window. (This makes it the active layer.) Position the mouse cursor over some text that you want to cover. Go mouse-button down and begin making brushing strokes. Let the mouse button up between strokes. Post here with any questions, be as specific as you are able to so that I can give relevant answers. ====================================================== Some people find that trying to use the Clone Stamp drives them nuts at first. If you have no problem with it, ignore the following: This tutorial shows a way that will work at least as well, without using Clone Stamp. But don't add to complexity of things. If Clone Stamp is working for you, don't bother looking at the tutorial method.
  4. On the text-on-white-background areas, using the Paintbrush tool, set to white, may be easiest. http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/en/Paintbrush.html Colors Window Clone Stamp will work well on all of this, especially the textured areas. http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/en/CloneStamp.html Whether using Paintbrush or Clone Stamp, applying the edits to a new (transparent) layer above the original will make it easier to correct any errors before flattening and saving the final edited version. Layers Window http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Paint.NET/Contents/Layers_Example You'll need to determine what fonts to use for the replacement text independantly.
  5. Here's a 3D heart tutorial that shows one way: Some engraved text: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/forum/23-text-effects/
  6. See if you like these: http://www.markus-bader.de/MB-Ruler/index.htm http://www.arulerforwindows.com/
  7. Whatever that photoshop tool was, Paint.NET doesn't have it. Duplicate your color image layer, turn one layer black-and-white. Using either the Eraser tool or Clone Stamp will allow a brushing it away method.
  8. Do as much as you can with Twist Radius and Flip Horizontal as you have said. Then repeat the entire process, but with Twist Angle set to 180.00 this time around. This should get you the full 360 in aggregate.
  9. BoltBait's plugin pack has a Transparency plugin that will work for this.
  10. Something like this? http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=19514
  11. Do these instructions give the info that you need?
  12. Thanks, csm and Possum. Possum I'm not really sure that dog you gave me is on the level. Also, check for PM re: poll if you haven't already.
  13. There's a Bricks plugin: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=8408
  14. Can you post an actual example of the form that needs editing? It will help towards getting the best advice/suggestions.
  15. I use 32 bit. Tried it with multiple wild settings adjustments, no problem so far.
  16. Go to the top of the first post of page one of this thread, and click on these words: "Download from box.net"
  17. The OptiPNG plugin has an option for Grayscale with alpha. http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=6305 Is that 16 bit PNG?
  18. Set your secondary color to 0 Transparency - Alpha. Make a Radial Gradient on a new layer. Use Magic Wand on the alpha at zero Tolerance. Invert selection, fill with Paintbucket or use Outline Selection. Or make the gradient and apply the Transparency plugin effect set to maximum opacity.
  19. Press F7. Or in the menu: Window > Reset Window Locations
  20. Since your most recent post, I've worked on developing the idea a bit. My previous idea needed the addition of posterizing to control the number of shades. This image has a gray-scale ground of 8 tones, and 8 shades for each of the color channels. Total 32 colors. http://a.imageshack.us/img339/6733/pixelflowertester01.png The number of colors needed can be adjusted by varying the degree of posterization. Image quality will vary proportionately. (Posterize is in the Adjustments menu.) Try to view this at as close to 100% zoom as possible and from across the room. Viewing on PC monitor at reduced zoom levels will introduce aliasing that wouldn't be present if the image was rendered to canvas and viewed at a distance. Additional visuals: http://a.imageshack.us/img638/3786/flowersampler01.png Shows original, pixelated/posterized, selection mask, extracted color channels. If you have any questions, let me know.
  21. There's usually more than one way of doing things. I'd probably build a mask on a new (transparent) layer, blocking out with black whatever I wanted to keep of the family group. Maybe starting with a filled Lasso Selection and refining it from that. Use the mask with the Alpha Mask Import plugin. After the effect is applied to the family image, examining the result will show whether the mask needs adjustments. Adjust and repeat until it looks right. It will be difficult to retain the natural appearance of the hair at the edges. You can fake the hair strands at the edges using Smudge with a rough brush. ===================================================== Whatever method you feel most comfortable with is the way to go.
  22. Probably best to make an image of each star type that you want, and save it on a transparent background. Use it as a brush in the CustomBrushMini plugin. Or copy/paste it multiple times as needed.
