  1. Hmmm. I really like the second one. Good old photo effect!
  2. oooh nice! I love the transparency, and just about everything else!
  3. I would darken it a bit, and put a sort of halo around it so it looks more like it's being backlit. But I dunno, that's just me. congrats to both of you on your 500th post!
  4. LFC4EVER: thanks! got it fixed. Who knows when I would've caught that, or if I would have caught it at all! The grass took one barrel of monkeys of a long time to do. But finally, here it is, each blade individually shaded. Bedtime for me!
  5. I think I can actually understand some of that. I'm only fluent in English, and just finished my second year of Spanish. Yay for cognates! I already have the webcomic all but written down, but I'd be happy to collaborate with you on another! Grass is nearing completion: everything up from the second root from the bottom has been done. I may even complete it tonight! I have given myself a rule: no more posting on this forum until I have finished the grass.
  6. I'm not sure if i'm remembering correctly, but an asteriod large enough to displace all of the water in the pacific ocean would be 40 miles across, and would actually vaporize it because of the heat of impact. heh. I like it!
  7. shiny! It sort of reminds me of glass lit by city lights. my computer would twitch and die at about 50 . It starts taking 30 seconds to respond at 25...
  8. Thanks! I used to have my PDN be slow as well.... I dunno why - but after a while it sped right up and there was never any lag... I have no clue what caused it in the first place though... occasionally it slows down for me too. I'm not sure why either, though. :?
  9. Welcome to the forums! try these two places: making backgrounds of images transparent & if that doesn't help, the image hospital
  10. Good grief! You're psychic! I'm actually looking at sites to host a webcomic. I just need to finish another project first. Thank you! Thanks! the grass on the picture is about 1/3 done.
  11. this is a tutorial using Paint.NET on one of the more popular webcomic hosting sites.
  12. @ topezia: beautiful! I love the bowl of nectarines (munch munch), and you did an excellent job on the paper pad and pen.
  13. really like the new sig/avatar combo!
  14. beautiful work I especially like you saturn-looks just like a picture I saw of saturn once, but from a different angle.
  15. Nice! it really makes the front end of the car pop out!
  16. Thanks! Thank you! The grass is coming along despite my computer slowing down just enough to not keep up with my pen strokes :? . I'm not sure if it's temporary, or what, but the grass below the tree is about 1/6 to 1/5 done!

I quite agree. Excellent guitar, the only issues I can see with it are antialiasing issues- some of the edges look a little ragged.
  18. Thanks! I'm going to have to change sigs soon I think, though. Hitting the 200 mark would be akward if I were still wearing the 100 posts sig.
  19. What method might that be? I'm open to any suggestions.. And that bubble tut may actually help, although Step 12 will confuse me no doubts step 12 I don't think is necessary for the sort of glass bubble you're looking to achieve, though. and also, my method goes like this: with 3 custom brushes and 4 colors: really dark green, dark green, green, light green, stamp out the general shape of the grass in the darkest color, using all three shapes. Then, use the next lightest, then some patches of the darkest color, then color with the lighter green, then normal green, then the second darkest green, then the lightest green, then the normal green, then the .. well, you get the picture. If you want the brushes, just PM me
  20. shiny! I like it, I think because of the dividing line and the contrast between the two directions of lines in it. In other words, for the exact same reason I like your sig/avatar combo!

you continue to astonish me with your incredible Paint.NET skills. I should really look at your gallery more often. Your rock texture looks like the perfect elephant skin if desaturated, and your screw. wow. It's so realistic.
